Yeah, don't hate on the IROKS! I ran a set of 36's last year in the bogs, and I still run them in the front for the bogs. Those scooped lugs work!

Now about the chit talking newbs, I don't know, bleed over from Pirate? They assume that sine we have been here for years, and wel all know and give grief to each other, then they can talk smack???? Got me...

My two cents. The Nitto Mud Grappler: Looks good, performs well, is well made and balences with ease, holds together with resonable tread life in a 5 or 6 tire rotation.

Some may not like the Nitto, however, it perfomed quite well for me. In every catagory, there will be something better and something worse

i disagree with you 100% on what you just said, mud grappler: i think it looks horrible (just my opinion as is yours that it looks good jsut an opinion), is made decent and will balance decent by a good tire shop (however so will many other offroad tires that are much better quality), horrible tread life, ive seen guys running tsl's with longer tread life that the mud grappler

I've never seen the mud grapplers in action personaly, but I used to think they would pull about as good as a decent M/T, but from what i hear they suck. Good for mall crawlers, but not the tire I'd choose for a street driven truck anyway.

I pulled a hummer with mt/r's out of a swamp once and then drove back through it with my bfg m/t's......

Dang, I don't know who bumped this thread but I was reading it and thought Pro and some of the other old gang was back

Anyways, I'd stick with a radial mud tire if you want it to last on the street.

Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ's are awomse for hwy and mud. I got already around 45,000-50,000 km on them and still got about 80-85% tread left. Rotate those tires every oil change, it helps prolong the life!

I'm have Dunlop mud rovers on my truck before my MTZ's and they werent to bad, just ive found dont seen to clean fast in tacky mud...

Another good tire is either Toyo MT's (good hwy milage) or Dick Cepek Mud Countries....

I forgot to comment on the Nittos. They are horrbile if you get into any type of wet sand or even try sand... A buddy of mine had a set of 38's on his Chevy and when he drove on sand he just chewed right down, so i had to pull him out with my F150. My MTZ's staied on top and only spun down a small amount.

The Nittos may look "Neato" but arnt worth it when for the price of them, you can buy a nice set of cheaper/better tires.
