Got the rails in the mail from FFD, very simple concept indeed. The rails are 3/4" aluminum rod that is drilled and threaded on each end. Each section has a washer bolted to the end of it to suspend the tube in the oil log. Very clearly a washer, held in place with red loctite and a flat headed Allen bolt. Quality is nice, threads are clean and the two pieces thread together flush. Also came with two new oil log plugs. Packaging was nice and came with a couple stickers.
Having quite the time trying to get Forscan to operate on anything. I can download it and pull it up but am not able to activate it. Filled out the 2 month free activation deal and got an email with the "key" but that is about it. Can't enter the key and don't have an activation code either. Will give it another shot here but I really don't have any patience for computers.

2 free months? What's that about? Has Forscan turned into a paid subscription service? Last I knew it was free download for PC and like $6 in the Android Play store.
I believe you said you were using a Chrome Book before? If so, I don't believe FORScan will run on that OS, at least not the PC version.
As far as I know, FORScan PC version is still free for a Windows OS machine, but the advanced features like changing MPH require a registration key and perhaps a small fee.

Downloaded it to a Windows lap top instead. I now see that I was looking at the "extended license" portion of it and that was the "2 free months". So it should link right up when I plug it in. Tried to download it to the Chromebook as well but couldn't get it into Developer Mode to run it.
This part has been on the market for a few years. Nothing but crickets and can't find anyone that has ever tried them. A few threads debating whether or not it would work but that's it. I figure that it's worth discussing since it is a 7.3 "upgrade??" that has no real reviews.

Oil compressibility: 1/2 % approximate volume reduction for every 1,000 psi of pressure and those rails hold about a quart of oil. Think of it like tapping the left butt cheeck and the right will wiggle a lil. Those fluctuations happening at the MS level can make your injectors not get all the oil they need when the demand kicks in.
since its just a rod with washers, im going to bet people just make them and not buy
