I got that too but so what to do? My cameras are crystal clear.
I haven't received the actual letter yet but I have seen the letter posted by owners of other model Fords. It looks like it provides 1 time replacement up to 10 years or 150k miles from warranty start date. So you could just wait, and if yours do start to look foggy then take it in.
The part about owner refunds had me wondering if I could just purchase the front camera, which is foggy right now, and get reimbursed for it. The letter makes it sound like refunds are eligible if it was replaced before the letter date (which I haven't received). I don't know if that only applies to customer pay at a dealership though.
I would like to get refunded for my front camera. I replaced it a while back since mine was really foggy. My rear camera is a bit foggy now but getting worse. I suppose I should get it in and get the recalls done for it. But I have to get my car back from my son first so I will have something to drive while the truck is in the shop. Anyway, here's hoping.
He made it look harder than it is to do that rear camera. On the tailgates with the step, you don't need to take off the tailgate access panel, the 4 nuts can be accessed with the step open. Also, I've never seen anyone have to do all that pulling and prying on the top trim to get the handle/camera piece out. Not saying he did, but you can see potential for scratches on the paint from a careless tech.
So I called the Ford dealer and they told me that I had to bring the truck in because they have to verify that the cameras are fuzzy so I told him I could take a picture and send to them. They said no their technician had to do it so I brought it in. And they are ordering five new cameras and call me. I’ll let you know.
Replacing rear camera AGAIN.... any aftermarket cameras available?
I've had all mine replaced once and the rear one is crap again and will be replaced next Tuesday..... question: any aftermarket cameras available and anyone have experience with them? I'm pretty sick of the camera runaround about now.

Were they replaced prior to the rear camera recall?
When the recall came out, they supposedly revised the lens on at least the rear cam to help it last longer. I don't think they made any upgraded to the others.

They were replaced the same week the recall came out, but a few days prior. Hard to say which camera version they installed, but they did have to order them. Guessing they put the old ones on.
