2021 F250 XLT Tremor

After 10 1/2 years with my 2002 F250 CCLB, we decided to upgrade to something to pull our new camper with a little more ease. My son has named her Big Red. She is a 2021 F250 XLT with the Tremor package.

Here are the options from the window sticker:

RAPID RED
PREFERRED EQUIPMENT PKG.603A
7.3L DEVCT NA PFI V8 ENGINE
10-SPEED AUTOMATIC
4.30 ELECTRONIC-LOCKING AXLE
CHROME PACKAGE
XLT PREMIUM PACKAGE
FOG LAMPS
REVERSE VEHICLE AID SENSOR
HEATED FRONT SEATS
TREMOR OFF-ROAD PACKAGE
35" OFF ROAD LT285/75R18E AT
SKID PLATES
LOW GLOSS BLCK PNT ALUM-18"WH
10000# GVWR PACKAGE
NAVIGATION SYSTEM
ENGINE BLOCK HEATER
50 STATE EMISSIONS
BACKGLASS DEFROST
POWER MOONROOF TWIN PANEL
POWER SLIDING REAR WINDOW
SPARE TIRE AND WHEEL
POWERSCOPE TRAILER TOW MIRROR
ROOF CLEARANCE LIGHTS
JACK
ADJUSTABLE GAS/BRAKE PEDAL
LED BOX LIGHTING
UPFITTER SWITCHES
REMOTE START SYSTEM
CLOTH 40/CONSOLE/40 SEAT

This camper is the reason we decided to upgrade to the 7.3.

So far, I have added WeatherTech Liners, Bulletproof phone mounts, Ford fender well liners, and a Weigh Safe weigh distributing hitch.

Future plans are a Diamondback cover, LED headlights, auxiliary backup lights, and who knows what else... Time will only tell.

This weekend is the first trip towing other than just local. Excited to see how it does on the highway.

Smart kid you got there!
You should make him proud and order a vanity plate with that. Then drop him off at school with the truck. He'll have bragging rights for the day if not longer!
Sweet looking truck! Love the color!
Congrats and good luck!

Need to fix your sig. Be sure to have "Big Red" in there some place!

7.3 with 4.30 will be a large improvement and have no trouble with the camper.

Thanks guys. I updated the signature. And for Big Red, we are getting this plate:

We love heritage railroads and model trains. The camper is getting a custom plate as well due to a family joke. We had family camp in our backyard last year and our house was coined camp Wifi. So it was only fitting that the camper be called Hot Spot.

Great looking truck. Love the options you have (I have a 2021 XLT with the premium package as well). Looking forward to some towing reports...

First tow report... Truck handles the weight now problem. I towed it there up the mountain and the wife towed it home. Average MPG for the trip was 7.3 mpg over probably 100 mile trip. I liked the route home much better than the one we took there. The one there had a lot of stop-go driving and I used tow haul mode. I do not think the camper is heavy enough to justify tow haul mode. I think it just held gears and burned extra fuel. Next outing is in a few weeks. We will see how it does on that one. Pictures to follow.

Good looking truck and camper (we have a Jayco as well)! Rapid Red is one of my favorite colors.

Thanks everyone!

I also enjoy that weigh safe. I like the adjustability it provides and that there is math to support the spring tension. I've towed a few questionably loaded trailers and I have no desire to do that with the wife and kids on board.
