This weekend is the first trip towing other than just local. Excited to see how it does on the highway.

Smart kid you got there!
You should make him proud and order a vanity plate with that. Then drop him off at school with the truck. He'll have bragging rights for the day if not longer!
Sweet looking truck! Love the color!
Congrats and good luck!
Need to fix your sig. Be sure to have "Big Red" in there some place!

Thanks guys. I updated the signature. And for Big Red, we are getting this plate:
We love heritage railroads and model trains. The camper is getting a custom plate as well due to a family joke. We had family camp in our backyard last year and our house was coined camp Wifi. So it was only fitting that the camper be called Hot Spot.

First tow report... Truck handles the weight now problem. I towed it there up the mountain and the wife towed it home. Average MPG for the trip was 7.3 mpg over probably 100 mile trip. I liked the route home much better than the one we took there. The one there had a lot of stop-go driving and I used tow haul mode. I do not think the camper is heavy enough to justify tow haul mode. I think it just held gears and burned extra fuel. Next outing is in a few weeks. We will see how it does on that one. Pictures to follow.
