I remember what Glue Guy said about wrapping the tri tip in foil, and cooking it a few more hours. The meat was cooked all the way through. Well done. And completely soft and falling apart.
I am more of a rare meat guy. But this piece of meat established that some people really enjoy well done meat.
I didn't get the job of San Francisco District Attorney. Amongst the many reasons; I'm not politically connected, I have zero experience as a prosecutor (although the last DA didn't either), and I'm not even a lawyer. The person who did get the job was in Chinatown on Wednesday. Making the rounds. Collecting money. She will need a big warchest to pay for the privilege of keeping that job.
Heads are already starting to roll. It was reported today that she fired about a dozen people already.
I am not a science fiction fan. In moments of boredom, I do turn to television shows from decades ago. Tonight, I found myself watching Alien Nation. The premise is that a space ship full of slaves landed on earth. And now, they are living in our population. A cop show, dealing with cultural dissimilarities and racism. Very innovative for it's time.
I've never seen this before. Of all the oddball things to happen, I found a mango seed sprouted in my yard. That's not suppose to happen. Mango are tropical. They can't live in 55 degree days, with nights dipping into the 40's. In theory, the seed should not even be able to germinate.
Fifry150,
My heart is hurting for you with your discomfort.
The good news is our 300+ acre fire that started from a structure fire is 90% contained and the losses were 6 Residences and 10 outbuildings. It came within 2 miles of my house.
Now for the the bad, Mrs sent me a text about something she picked up on the way to church.
I don’t think a 1/4” hex key belongs there. Glad she only needs to go across town looking at the condition of the spare. Time for a new one.
The Milwaukee 1/2”drive impact sure made this chore a lot better.
67 is too hot? then what is 109?
I'm already in my mancave with the AC on. Came home from church at noon, stayed in recliner for 4 hours napping, and watching TV. decided to get up and get on the computer. Going to try and get my first truck payment today, but Randy was elusive last weekend. I paid the registration, but still need to get it tuned up so it will pass smog.
When I was kid, hot dogs were longer than the bun. Long enough to hang out of the bun. I don't know if hot dogs got smaller, buns got bigger, or if they both got smaller.
One of my friends is a "social justice warrior". Always talking about inequalities and disparities. I said, "Look lady, the hot dogs and buns were on sale. There was a coupon. You want me to clip coupons and hand them out to poor people in the ghetto? Will that level the playing field?" Apparently, it's an unfair world when privileged people like me have a hot dog, and we get fresh vegetables. Well, I didn't "get" anything. As in nobody gave it to me. I made a choice, when I went shopping, to buy produce.
That's why she is a friend. It balances my perspective on life. I need people around me who see the world from a different point of view. She provides much needed comedy material, for me to tell stories at the bar. Like the time she went to a "defund the police" rally - her car window was smashed and the thieves stole her gym bag.
Our tire place (America's Tire) will usually repair a tire like that as long as the puncture is not too close to the shoulder or sidewall. Eminently repairable.
