Definitely abnormal
Well, the mechanic says its loud. They are like politicians here at this dealership. They will admit but never commit. Was told they wanted to compare it against another 7.3, i could do the ride along with the mechanic. 2 weeks later, I'm here because of inspection sticker... I found one on the lot. They never called. I rocked it and it is dead quiet. The whole situation is a joke. The diff is loose as a drunken sailor. The value of the Ford brand is becoming lost to me. This is my 5th one in 9 years. It may be my last. I just don't know what to buy in the 3/4 ton truck market. All the stuff out in the past 2 years are junk. COVID killed the quality. Any recommendations?

my 2021 F450 has bubbles in the chrome on the rear bumper, i ordered two new pieces. I was told they fill not replace the bumper and to call my insurance....to he'll with that. I called customer care and they said contact your dealership...I did, 3 of them...and nothing....it's a work truck and is bound to get scratches...two of them told me. The black bracket that is a brace is almost completely rusted.... my truck was bought new by me and is stored indoors and in central Texas...I'm done. My next truck will be a Cummins ....let Ford rot....they need to.

I have a 2021 F250, 7.3... I have a backlash issue and I have been trying to get it fixed for 10 months. I took some videos last night. Am I the only one that has this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11oL...w?usp=drivesdk
going from reverse to drive, there is a clunk, and then about 1 foot later there is another one.
the clunk sounds exactly like your video.
I have checked and retorqued everything with the suspension. the more closely i listen, the more convinced i am that the noises are coming from the rear diff.
have you gone to an independent driveline shop?
