My 1976 F-250

The 16 inch wheels on my Highboy were near new take-offs from a late 90s Econoline. They appeared identical to the oem wheels that came on my Highboy when I bought it except they weren't rusty and bent. There were lots for sale here in BC at the time but like everything else these days, parts are getting harder to find.
Sorry to hear your rear main seal is still leaking. FE motors in particular seemed to be prone to rear main seal leaks but all Ford engines in general seemed to leak from the rear main even when brand new until they finally went to a one pieced rear main seal. Annoying but as a previous poster said, think of it as rust proofing....

I found a nice set of OE wheels on eBay recently and they wanted $600 plus shipping.
Singles that don't look all that good are going for $150 each.
Right now I'd rather spend that kind on money on things that the truck needs.
After the needs are taken care of then it will be AC and front and rear lockers.

The first mufflers just sounded like straight pipes and that didn't work for me.

I used a 99-07 powerstroke diesel 3.5" in & out on my 76 with 460, I had it setup to quick change between that and a moroso spintech. The powerstorke muffler had a nice mild rumble but quiet in cab with no drone.
In my opinion for duals it hard to beat the dynomax super turbos with a crossover for nice deep sound with respectable cab noise and decent flow.
The 2015-up 5.0 f150 muffler is a good option too, straight thru design with balance tubes inside to cancel out noise, Ive never run one on a 460 but would try it in dual setup

I'm OK with how it sounds now. Not loud but I can hear it and that's ok with me.
I got my new fan shroud from Dennis Carpenter on today.
This is huge for me.
It didn't have one when I got the truck and it ran soo stinking hot in warm weather I hated driving it..
I will find the forum member that helped me get it and thank him.
I was never charged for it until it arrived today and I think that's awesome. Thank you Dennis Carpenter.
Everyone else takes your money the very second they have access to it.
I'm 110% pleased with this purchase.

Sounds good to me too! But I forgot, you also had changed out the manifolds to headers.
What diameter exhaust pipes did you use with the DynoMax Super Turbo mufflers?
I wonder if it would have sounded that good with the stock exh manifolds.....?

I can't hear anything from the hedders so maybe not much at all.
I wish I could give you a better answer.

I took my 79 4-wheeling the very first night I drove it off the lot.
I was going up a "road" that was half washed out by the spring run off.
Right tires on the road, left tires in the stream.
The corners of the bed hit the cab and smashed the molding and dented the cab.
If my 76 was perfect when I bought it it would already have some new body damage.
The truck has 4wd and I'm one of those odd people who love using it.

The bigger the engine, the higher the compression and the more radical the cam is the more hedders benefit the performance.
This crossover on higher compression engine will also increase the lever of noise and it will also increase performance over an "H" pipe.
A crossover will help "scavenge" the exhaust from the cylinder to allow for more intake of air-fuel.
Sometimes things like hedders and crossovers do not help smaller and low compression engines.
Fords THRIVE on high compression.
