It’s cold and wet up here and everyone is out and about. I’m off to get my generators back from the repair shop before this storm gets into full swing.
Bacon and eggs, fried rice. As I was eating, I realized, there is no turning back. I will forever be shunned by my culture. If my ancestors were alive, 300 year old people would be throwing shoes at me.
I hope that everyone had a good day today. The weather was beautiful up here in the North. Looking forward to a quiet Christmas Daywith family tomorrow.
It rained last night. Heavy. I was comfortable, indoors, warm, and thankful for having a full belly and shelter. I indulged in recreational refreshments.
Today, I decided to drive The Van. To my dismay, the windows were down. They must have been down since the last time I drove it. We've had over a week of rain, and the front driver and passenger windows were wide open. As you can guess, the upholstery was wet.
Today was the day that Glide Memorial served prime rib meals to those less fortunate. I had prime rib also. A 7 bone standing rib roast. I debone it, and roast the bones separately. Then I cut off a bunch of thin slices.....which can be used for cheesesteaks, hot pot, or pho. I get a few steaks, then slow roast the rest of the ribeye. I like personally like the English cut.
