Yah. Looks like the rain for next week (starting ~~ Sunday) will be legit. Weather guy says it will be a 3 on a 5 scale. The atmospheric river we got in October was a 5.

OAT here this morning is 37. Colder than we've seen in this neck of the woods for a while. Back in the 90s, we would see temps in the teens occasionally. Haven't seen that in over a decade now.

What to do with a 10 lb log of ground beef after making burgers. I tossed it with peppers and onions. Then made Navajo fry bread. Another campfire recipe from my childhood. For whatever reason, we never ate it at home. Only when we went hunting. As if, only the men of the family ate it. Top it with the meat stir fry, some fresh veggies, and sour cream. The sour cream mixed with meat is almost like stroganoff.

And I5 is closed north of Redding due to a big rig spun out in the snow.

Almost 8AM. It's wet and windy, but so far no measurable precip.

When I checked the rain gauge about 2:00 pm, there was about 1.10” in it. Not checking now because it’s dark and this is a low tech/old fashioned glass tube with gradations on it.

Chain control around us has been fluctuating all over the place and the majority of the accidents appear to be from loose nuts behind the steering wheel..

We've been spared. The storms in Kentucky brought dinosaurs out of the woods.

Here in SF, it does not feel like 11" of rain.

The rain has finally arrived! Yay, no more drought...yeah right. We could never get enough rain in one day to get rid of the drought. Not without floating away from too much water. LOL

We're getting rained on big time, but the bucket in our weather station must be clogged with leaves or something because it's showing zero for rain totals. You can be sure I'm not going to go up there to check because we're getting some serious winds right now.

Wind and gusts for the last 24 hours
