Hey you’re allowed to be picky (or spoiled)! No worries there. Hope you can get it dialed in for what suits you best.

The tow tunes do have different shifting on my truck. It holds the gears longer and kicks down sooner I think. Maybe you’re using a different strategy causing them to not be as noticeable on your vehicle? Or maybe a factor of multiple things? Or maybe you just like the DP shifting better? Hopefully the EGTs will be down so at least your end goal will be achieved.

Related to shifting. I did notice a big difference in shift characteristics between the 364.5/73 & 363/68 turbos. The larger turbo just felt “off”. It felt like it shifted too early and snuffed out the power and also felt too harsh. The change was significant enough that my dad noticed it from the passenger seat and said something about it without me prompting him. I also found a plenum leak later but not gonna send you down that path as I know you have already looked it over well.
Point is, what I found was the shifting strategy seemed to work best when my turbo was closer to a “stock” configuration.

Fair enough, and I should test them as designed before making judgement.

That's interesting. I've decided to leave my MST alone unless and until I can't get any tune to give me the modest improvements I'm seeking, or I feel the need to replace my injectors. KCT did me a favor by not including their Stage 1 on a Black Friday deal...
