You seem a little tribalistic. I bet you only drink one type of beer too huh?!
Good point, I didn't mean to exclude the Ram HD, you can drive one of those to see what an HD truck feels like as well, although I am not a fan of the newer 2500s that have coil spring in the rear , that is almost as bad as GM using an IFS.
I had a GMC 2500 with the Duramax bought new in 2006.
Had nothing but problems with that truck. Left me stranded twice in one year.
Maybe they’re better now.
But considering it’s GM I doubt it.
More refined meaning weaker and more car like, I used to drive those trucks for work and at the end of the day when I got in my Superduty it actually felt like I was driving a HD truck instead of a Ford Ranger. Also during that year range Ford used the 5R110 transmission which can handle far more HP and torque in stock from than the Allison 1000.
I'd argue that even the Ranger interior held up better than the 03-06 Silverados.

can ya really say anything bad about the gm drivetrain when the mighty dana m275 smooshes like a soft loaf of freshly baked bread

Not much aftermarket support for it either, I would rather have the Ford 10.5, and If you are hauling more weight than the 10.5 can handle you need a Dually.
When did I say only Ford makes you feel like you are in an HD truck?
I feel like I am driving an HD truck whenever I am driving an HD truck. The emblem on the grill has nothing to do with the experience for me. I inferred from your statement, "when I got in my Superduty it actually felt like I was driving a HD truck..." and your antipathy for Ram 3/4 tons, that only Fords meet your standards of being an HD truck. My original query was, "What does driving an HD truck feel like?" Can these feelings be reduced to written expressions or not? Brand bashing does not achieve this. Is it the height, length or girth of the truck that satisfies you most? Is it the stiffness of the suspension that does it? Perhaps really large rubber is the key to your fulfillment. Is it something else?
Just because you don't like or prefer a GM HD or Ram 3/4 ton truck does not make them junk or an unreasonable choice for others.

Yes driving a Superduty feels like driving and HD truck vs a GM HD that feels like your driving a Ford Ranger. I agree that not everyone needs an HD truck or uses it to it's fullest extent and would like to have a more car like ride, GM trucks are perfect for those people. Also I never said I disliked the Ram HD trucks, I used a Superduty as an example I never implied that it was the only truck that meets my standard of an HD truck, you really need to work on your reading comprehension.
You Inferred incorrectly, and if your driving isn't attuned to the point to where you can tell a difference between driving a GM HD and a Superduty then it is pontless for me to explain it any further.
