Try removing the tube and cleaning it. They seem to get gunked up with carbon and/or oil. Watch the video TooManyToys provided, I am sure it talks about it

he replaces everything with new which honestly i probably would be better off doing since the pigtail is wet.
my only question is while i order the parts would it hurt to run it not plugged in?
i got a few other questions while im at it.
my deegas bottle probably needs replacing. and thinking about going to go ahead and replace the coolant while im draining it all out.
any recommendations on coolant?
also on forscan what are the main things to monitor.
my truck is completely bone stock from what i can tell.
I am not 100% it will hurt anything, from what I have read it will not. With that said, there were a few years that were re-flashed at the dealer to not even use the EBP sensor values.....but again I am not 100%.
Coolant- It all depends on what is in the system now. If it is the OEM gold coolant, then the majority of people have already swapped to an ELC EC-1 rated coolant like they use in big rigs, specifically for diesel use. Here is a good thread but you search on this forum, I guarantee you will find what you are looking for (that includes, proper flushing of old gold coolant, products to use for flushing, procedures etc). There are times that some can get WAY TOOOOOOO complicated and scientific regarding coolant.....read at your own risk. https://www.powerstroke.org/threads/...oolant.169767/
I don't have forscan, I use a different program utilizing a kindle 8" tablet on a mount. I monitor core gauges on the main screen (TFT, EOT, BOOST, FMP, VOLTS, ICP, IPR) and all the other important on the other screens I can swap to with a swipe.
Stick with Ford or International for the parts.
You can get a good price from Ed over at FICMrepair https://www.ficmrepair.com
They are real Ford parts not grey market and carry the Ford warrantee.

i definitely will give it a look for parts after dinner time
You should not have to pay more than this, and these are the two most respected Ford internet dealers. Lakeland Ford, too, but usually a few dollars more in some cases.
