Without data, you need a new truck.

That is what he was implying....no codes provided, no possible way to help you.

Do you have a way to check live values/PID's while your truck is running?

Why say that? No data, no codes, just guess what the problem is, and look up my profile to find out what year truck I'm talking about.

P2285 is a bread crumb. Bad ICP, bad wiring, bad rail o-rings, bad dummy plugs, bad IPR, bad standpipes, bad STC fitting, bad HPOP.

There is a lot more data that is going to be needed, and then testing. Otherwise you are going to spend a lot of money on throwing parts at it, and if a mechanic is doing that, it's going to get real expensive.

So the questions are can you monitor the data and can you tear into the engine?

Bismic has a good troubleshooting guide in the top section that he put a lot of work into.

You'll get there. For those of us that have been around for some time, it's frustrating because we know to diagnose these trucks requires a lot of information, and there is a long line in front of you, like in your first post.

Searching for issues like your own can help, but often it's easier to use Google, type in FordTruckEnthusiasts, and the problem you are having. that will help is seeing some of the information and what it tells you. Often, even if you are taking the truck to a mechanic, having the data in your back pocket (but not telling them what to do) and help you feel out if you've gone to the right place who won't be a parts changer.

You just had the bad luck of having a cranky person be your first respondent.

it says ill get the ready this afternoom. so ill be able to pull info. i tried to do as u said. kept getting pulled to a ficm issue. but the issues with that truck didnt match 100% what mine was doing.

now that i think of it i wonder if the coolant issue im experiencing atm has any factors into the truck now

You should list all the issues you are observing, then let those with experience it sort out.

all the issues im currently having
well atm the truck starts but does not register you pressing the gas pedal.

the coolant deegas bottle im losing coolant in.

i get a puff of white smoke randomly out the tailpipe but doesnt last long if i do.

the coolant gauge does take some time to get to normal after starting up. much slower then other gauges.

when driving the truck. when taking off it did have a stutter. like it was having traction issues.

i recently replaced all the injectors and glow plugs .on it. but i honestly think one injector stuck open. as it smells like diesel out the back. more then it should my opinion.

edit : i was the last couple of days getting ebc fault on my dash. but would go away after awhile
also just noticed as im checking the fuses. and running the motor my coolant gauge is staying down not rising now

also thinking about it the truck also was having poor acceleration at first then would just take off.

at 3-7 ill have the forscanner. so ill be able to read the codes and everything

This went from a minor sounding issue to your truck not sounding so well off.

That's a bummer to inherit issues right off the get. Good luck with it, get some data out here and you'll get proper direction\advice.
