As they say, a little goes a long way. If you do put the bumper on and decide to go with a higher weight spring, the 5600 should be fine. As the 6000 may give you a bit more lift up front, your ride quality may suffer. It’s all subjective as some prefer less travel up front. The overall weight of mine up front is good with 6k
I had a huge improvement in ride and lift upgrading from lightest springs to the plow springs, as SARDiverDan noted, the jounce bounce wave feel with the front bumper weight is gone!

very very pleased.

How’s your alignment after the swap? Any apparent caster issues?

none apparent, and I had a pretty high caster number when checked several years ago (2.7 or so) But of course things change, and new springs will change it up. Steering wheel at 70 mph, felt exactly the same, same tightness, no vibration. And on slow crawling, seemed ok too. Need more miles still.
Nice @Commodorefirst ! I am glad to hear feedback of someone who has put the heavier springs on a gasser. I almost wonder if I would see an even bigger lift from that since I am in a 2021.
Says "for V10 or Diesel only" in the product description but looking at specs the 7.3 isnt that much lighter than the old triton V10. Ford doesnt differentiate between Diesel vs Gas coils as far as I can tell. Thoughts anyone?
Trying to find a recent post that had a build spec that showed both. I may be wrong but if I recall correctly, there are slight variations between a diesel coil and the gas coil. The wire on the gas coil is a bit larger, rides about 2” lower under designed load, and actually carries more weight per inch than the diesel coil. I guess with the heavier weight of a diesel, they try and not “hit the wall” as abruptly as you would have with the gas coil. It was just posted in the last few weeks but I can’t seem to find it right now.
Thanks, yeah the front end is already a touch lower than I would like as it sits in the driveway right now and more importantly want to offset any of the wave/bobbing feeling you mentioned in your earlier post. I guess the question was whether to go with 5600 or 6000 since I am driving a gasser. Really annoying that the for the '20+ trucks the only options are either lower coil mount spacers or a 3"+ lift kit. Trying to get a little closer to the stance of the 17-19 trucks, otherwise completely satisfied with the way it is now.
As you know I run the 6000 lb front end and as I have an F 450 with the Snow Plow prep along with that 6000 spring is one helluva fat front sway bar. That said I think you go either 5600 with the legend or the legend + a winch and reach for the 6000 lb if you winch tips the scales at 100 lbs as mine. I was running the Warn Powerplant on the front end along with the Ranch Hand
Who is your sales guy at McLane, I deal with Matt...you will never buy a Superduty cheaper.
This the lightweight model, not winch paid and not as HD Legend with cutout for the front camera
Sounds like the 2wd vs 4wd springs. I was surprised by the difference in weight ratings.
That’s probably the distinction between the two I was looking for. Was not sure if it was diesel vs. gas or 4x4 vs. 4x2 but I did see marked differences between the two on that spreadsheet.
When I ordered my springs, they could not of course use my vin, but we used a mechanics diesel with plow springs and we came up with the same part numbers as SARDiverDan. Made it easy, and painless. .
I sucked it up today and added the heavy service front suspension to my order. These couple of threads have convinced me that it wont ruin the ride. I didn't do the plow package as that is listed for $250 and just the spring upgrade is $125. Plow package gets you a bigger alternator on a 6.2 but am getting the 7.3 and the 397 amp alt and dual batteries already. It will be interesting to see what the front weight rating is when it shows up. Not sure it will be 6000 because it is a gasser but maybe.

Very nice!
Think that is a smart move, I had the heavy duty alternator and dual batteries with my 6.2l and it still came with the lightest springs. Bet yours comes with 5600.
I took a quick image grab today when traveling, and also posted an early photo from three years ago, you can see a diff even with different locations. I now have a few hundred miles on the 6000 lb springs, and the ride is so much better. The extra weight out past the axle does add a lot to the jounce and bounce on lighter springs and stock factory shocks. I have the new shocks sitting in the garage to be installed sometime this month along with the SumoSprings front and rear, along with the PMFdual stabilizer.
After 6000lb spring install Stock light GAWR springs 6.2l
I hope this doesn't hijack the thread. I've been looking all over trying to find a chart that explains the spring codes; not just the rates. I have a /19 F350 with the camper package and I think the front springs are the 5200lbs version. I want to put the snow plow springs in (I had them on my 17 and like the drive) but I want to confirm I don't have them. This are my magic sticker but it tells me nothing since I can't figure out the codes and my door sticker doesn't look like the ones in other posts. If one of you could confirm I have the 5200s, I can order the 6k springs. I'd would really appreciate some help. Thanks.

It is confusing, I haven't found any clear data for spring codes etc. Based on your door sticker I would say that you have the 5200# springs.....but then it gets confusing, the 5200 coils on my 2019 look to have a different tag.
