Ranch Hand Bumper and Front Springs
I’m looking at running 3/0 to front and back as the limiting factor is the Anderson connector. The highest rated ones I can find are good for 350 amps so that matches well with the 3/0 cable. Probably going with two 50 foot cables so I can run lines to the back, run lines to the front, and use the remainder to rig up a set of jumper cables with the Anderson connector.
Before you do anything to your new bumper lay a straight edge across the two brackets on back of the bumper and check with a square. Also check the welds every place on the back it seems they let the less experienced weld that area. I sent back two ranch hand because they seemed more like scratch and dent or seconds instead of high quality. When the place you buy from says to use an impact gun to draw it down to make it fit, no thanks. Went with a different bumper and it went on so smooth.
Just giving an update. I picked up the bumper today from Line-X and installed it this afternoon. Luckily I had two friends able to come over and give me a hand. For those that want to know, the truck dropped right at 1/2 inch on the front with the RH Legend full bumper without winch mount. I measured before I started 32.5” and after I pulled off the factory bumper 32.5”. Now I am at 32” after install. Total price for bumper and Line-X came in around 2,500.
It was getting dark when I finally got the front plate back on. Still need to install the front sensor and fog lights from the OEM bumper. I will try to get it finished up tomorrow and then I will get some pics.
Initially, I figured it would not have much impact on the front as well. The more research I do on this, the more comments I am finding on those that claim to have issues. Plan on taking some before and after measurements to see how much, if any, it pulls the nose down. If I see that it drops a bit, I may change out my 5600s for 6000s and call it good. Thanks for the comments.

Additionally, for those that may be contemplating this upgrade. You do get a slight bleed-over from the 360 view camera so a section of the bumper shows up in the camera view at the front of the truck.. While I have the bumper with the open section for the camera, it does interfere with the 360 view and is a bit tunneled in the forward view.

Legend with cutout for the front camera
I have the full legend bumper replacement with the cutout so it sticks out several inches more in relation to the grille guard that maintains the factory bumper. I will get it washed up today and post up a pic of the front view and the 360 view.
I thought that but not sure...
Took it out for a drive to check for any issues. You can definitely feel the extra weight up front. Need to decide on whether or not to go with the 6k springs. I’m leaning that way but I will see. One thing I did notice was the change in the airflow over the hood. I have used various deflectors over the years with mediocre results. While driving back to the house I passed through a patch of honeybees. Generally, I will hear several “snaps” on the glass but today, none of them hit the glass and I was looking right at them. Not sure if the airflow breaks over that top bar and then is directed up and away with the deflector but it works much better now.
