Saw this as I was looking at the New Green stuff ! Yeo this in starting a study phase of new green and parking / charging questions. not a done deal !

Of course this becomes the real deal in parking ramps while one is at work or doing business in the vicinity ! Just a major change in ones lifestyle is obviously a teaching method for Schools ! Of course the download of an app to "Apple or Paypal " pay for the time on charger when you leave the Parking garage is a no brainer 2 ! Millions of 30/60 minute partial fills in the future. One can deduce the cost of all these chargers in a 300 car parking garage complex of buildings gets out of there pricy. Say each charger can do 2/3/4 cars at the plugs ?

This is very informative eye opener ! The thing to understand is this !
Charging at 17.2 kW of power on a 240 volt circuit may require a home electrical panel upgrade to 400-amp service.

Other than persistent rumors of a secret home SuperCharger in San Diego,
there aren’t any home Superchargers. Why? You could very well purchase another Tesla
for the costs associated with providing enough electricity to your home to deliver 145 kW of power. My home with Offices and computers averages 75 Kwh per hour in june and July just for a comparison. So do many others I do believe IMHO !

It states all EV vehicles in the information. Ford is not gonna change the outcome Kwh charging needs going out of this world. My thought is all who have EV are gonna want Solar or wind turbines galore. I plan Solar on my new build garage roof soon. My home will need reroofing with in 10 years, will decide after reroof,

Tesla Solar Roof cost. According to Tesla, the average Tesla Solar Roof cost a property owner can expect to pay is around $21.85 per square foot . This estimate was made based on a roof made of 35 percent solar tiles. Jun 14 2019 Maybe it will get better than printed BS is now ! Right now thas about $5o,ooo ! Nada answered !

Showing Fords Projected Charging costs at todays projected inflation rate, say over 7 years of owning a lightening 150,000 miles of driving expressway/ interstates speeds here would be refreshing. Wait, get ready, here it comes cause Gasoline costs is gonna be " inflationary" also most likely !

I just read this ! Maybe it fits here, it sort of takes MPG out and inserts KWH costs in to answer some who might wonder ?

In the meantime, Thai-Tang said that Ford is working with “the best suppliers from Japan, Korea, China, all around the world.” That includes SK Innovation, which will supply cells for the upcoming F-150 Electric from a plant in Georgia.

This may help answer those who wish for cost per KWH instead of miles per gallon of gasoline because MPG'
Is most likely a Technology Mummy-fication obsolete statistic.

Industry analysts have held up $100 per kilowatt-hour battery costs as the point where electric cars will achieve cost parity with internal combustion, but now the target has shifted to an even more ambitious $60 per kwh, according to a blog post by The Mobilist.

Tesla and Volkswagen have already discussed driving battery prices down to around $60 per kwh on the cell level, but that is now also viewed as a viable target by the Department of Energy, the post said. That's based on an interview with Dave Howell, who runs the Energy Department's Office of Vehicle Technologies, which funds battery research.

If costs can be driven down that far, the total cost of ownership for an EV would average 26 cents per mile, compared to 27 cents per mile for an internal-combustion car, Howell said in the interview.

Just a few years ago, even reaching $100 per kwh seemed impossible. That goal is now generally considered to be in reach, but Howell said he was surprised how quickly the industry has gotten there.


Mercedes-Benz battery production This is obviously a Wiring Semi conductor control station. No doubt Battery production is a trade secrete. The Robotics also appear vanilla missing parts in the work station. Oh well its a publicity picture not activity production. But, you can see how solidly the Robotics are fastened to their block, not just a poured slab but a very secure block.

The research firm Wood Mackenzie has predicted we'll reach the $100 per kwh price on a pack basis in 2024. That's based on the cost of an entire battery pack, rather than per-cell cost, as discussed in the blog post.

According to Bloomberg New Energy Finance, battery prices fell to an average $137 per kwh in 2020—with prices already below $100 per kwh on a pack basis in some instances.

Granted, these analyses indicate battery costs aren't falling as rapidly as they were earlier last decade, but the turn rate should still put parity with internal combustion in sight.

Perhaps the lower price-per-kwh target will help reconcile the idea that higher costs in other manufacturing areas will keep EVs from quite reaching parity until late in the decade.

This might also fit in another thread about EV charger Costs ? This is mostly Robotics hands on. I got a bit of experience with Robotics. It comes down to # of stations easily acceptable to Maintenance ! Added room = adaptabilities + future changes= success ! Each Robotic needs to sit on its own very secure Cement block. So XYZ axis is always very much there !
