I was able to reach my phone in under the bed to snap this photo and it looks like mine is a 6 bolt . Mine is a F-450. You might have a spot on yours to reach your phone in there to snap a pic to make sure
OP you have a great thread going here. Good luck with getting everything sorted out on the tow pig.
I could be wrong on this but, an Excursion fuel tank might be a good option. The more knowledgeable members here will be able to tell you more details about the swap. The Ex tank is a poly tank that holds 44 gallons.

Excursion tank won’t work. I wish it did, they are cheap!!
Cab Chassis frames are narrower and shaped different.
I've also seen this before but I'd be shocked if it bolted into a truck like mine without clearance issues. Looks like there could be if a receiver hitch has been added and other up-fits that hug close to the top of the frame. Cool looking though and probably no "harpooning" necessary.
I did confirm it is a 6 bolt sending unit. I also decided to pull the fuel bowl cap and look at the fuel pump before dropping the tank.
There isn’t anything visible inside the fuel lines near the pump.
I wasn’t sure if this is an issue or not, I don’t remember if this is new or not. The fuel bowl filter has 1200 miles on it and shows no sign of crap. It’s pretty clean, but I did find this stuff in the bottom.
IIRC I wasnt able to even reach over to the fill tube to perform the harpoon mod on the aft axle tank.
Gotcha. I'm not sure that is a realistically possible mod on the steel cab and chassis tanks just by the way the design of the tank is. And not to mention you'd have a hell of a time getting the metal shavings out of there after attempting to hack it off. I have only pulled out the sending unit to clean the screens once, saw there was no "delamination" going on, and put it back together satisfied everything was fine. The only way to see the inside at the filler neck area would have been to risk dropping my phone into the tank and ruining it trying to take a picture, which I decided wasn't happening.

The fuel looks pretty clean to me. That could just be some of the residue that ends up on the inside the bowl.
A delaminating tank will clog the two little screens inside the tank sending unit that filter the larger particles that could ruin the fuel pump. You very well might have that problem by the sounds of your fuel pressure symptoms...
I guess I will just pull the tank, I was trying to avoid it without knowing 100% that it is the problem but it everything checks out. I will drop the tank tonight.

no matter what it's a win win because sooner or later you will have to do it anyway. The hutch mod is one of the best mods you can do for a 7.3 . Considering everything else you have done to your truck it will be a breeze
Man, I was complaining about trying not to drop the tank but it was pretty damn easy! Every tank I have dropped before was a PITA and this one was a piece of cake so I was happy about that.
Here is what I found....
Then on another note, I never checked the brakes since purchasing the truck....this previous owner didnt believe in maintenance
and the damn drain plug was halfway out
So it leaked and had fluid about this high....awesome....
I noticed it was wet around the perches....
Everything was intact, I was suprised at how little they welded the perches from the factory though.
So what are your thoughts? The tank was red as hell, I assume it ran the red diesel for years since it was a state owned truck? Anyways, the pickup foot was gone, but other then that the fuel looked ok but the tank had some funky stuff going on.
