The Pimp x looks interesting, Question though would you need to get a dyno tune to dial it in or does it do it itself. And does it work with SD or does it take over the the whole system?
You do not need a Dyno tune, you as the tuner would tune it as you drive it.
I think when you order it, you specify SD, and then you have different options like batch fire vs sequential fire. PimpX can be configured to whatever you have and whatever you want.
I also think that the Pimpx uses its own MAP sensor, its inside the ECU, then you have to plumb the vacuum tube.

Look at this thread on the PimpXshift. Grab a few brews and watch some videos of it. If you have a stickshift you dont need the Xshift. Also use your search on here for PimpXshift as there is a few threads.
And Stinger has a very good message help board as well. You wont be able to see and graphs or tunes on there forum without a license but you can read a lot about the system and what questions people come up with.
Thanks ZRT1200, lots of thinking and research to do, Also the PO rebuilt the engine last year but all the EFI is original.
Should any of the EFI need updating as its 31 yrs old now. It runs well with your foot into it but around town it with light touch on the throttle it sort of stutters.
