So I have a 2020 F350 Diesel As we know when it is a bit cold you get a delayed start as is says on the dash screen. Does anyone know if it can run a few seconds after you push the start button when turning engine off. This is what is happening
Welcome. So, what you're writing is that you get to where you're going, put the truck in PARK, hit the Start/Stop button and the engine continues to run for a One Mississippi, Two Mississippi, and then turns off? And it does this all the time? Never heard of that. Mine turns off as if I had shot it through the heart. There has to be some unique environmental condition for that to happen. The way the start/stop works...well, all of the electronics that control mechanical functions work this way; Touching a button of any sort is a mere suggestion to a computer somewhere on the vehicle of something you'd like to happen. The computer checks out all of the parameters for that request then decides if it's going to do as you wish. If the computer finds something it doesn't like, say you want to put the truck in Reverse at highway speed, it's not going to go through with your request. I don't know what would cause a shut down delay.
