By-Pass Computer F-150,V8 auto To make sure engine is ok!
My baby has an electrical problem. Have posted a couple of inquairies and tried the responces...to no avail..I have been told YOU can bypass the computer to START the Engine...1988 f-150..If thats true. HOW? I just want to make sure it is the coMputer that needs replacing...I HAVE FUEL PRESSURE, IHAVE SPARK AND I HAVE GAS.........THANK YOU

The only way you'd be able to get away with without a major computer is to pretty much rebuild the engine like a crate engine style, IMO i would think that'd be the way to go, but do i think it'd be worth it? absolutely not. Have you tried your Control Module? a friend of mine has his pretty much blow up on the inside and well, his truck wouldn't start. I think Autozone does free testing of them.
