I am trying to get my vent windows outs on my doors. I have everything out of the door, window, lock and locking mech, window regulator, separator bar...but how do I get the vent window out? Looking at videos and threads, once all these other parts are out, does the vent window just slide out into the space that the door window once was? I am trying to reuse the frame, (the vent window itself is cracked) so I don't want to damage the frame if possible, but I just don't see how it comes out. Is the top hinge held in with rivets?
The answer is here: you have to remove the window glass, then remove the separator bar (the screws on the top of the door, and two on the face of the door). then under the rubber around the ventwindow at the top, there is a screw as well.
then the ventwindow assembly slides out (into the window
There are if I remember correctly 3 small screws buried in the rubber seal that need to be removed. they hold the vent in the door frame I have circled where they should be. open the vent window and look at the seal in those 3 spots. Once removed you just rotate the assy aft and pull it up from the door.

Any suggestions? or links to videos?
The vent window is held in with 3 sheet metal screws, top, front and bottom. Once they’re out slide the window back, tilt back and it will come out. The upper hinge is riveted in but if you carefully stretch the outer frame apart the upper pivot will pop out. At the bottom it’s held in with a single nut, a spring and some bushings. It will come apart after you take off the nut, but note the order and position of all the washers and bushings, then lots of penetrating oil and again, patience.
The next challenge is getting the glass out. It’s press fitted with rubber in the channel and wrapped around the glass. Over the years it will bond together. Heat, a knife and patience will get it out.
I’m not sure but don’t you have to open or close the vent glass. Seems to me there was a Cam or something that only allowed the vent assembly to come out with the window in a certain position.
New Climber, you got to buy a shop manual. We here at FTE are eager to help, but this is explained with pictures in the shop manual. They sell reprints or you can buy used on eBay.

the OP didn’t mention the year of his truck, but on my 48 the window needed to be closed for the cam to line up.

the cam is the item circled in this pic. Once window is removed you have to remove the pivot arm at the top...mine had screws, but i have heard some are riveted...so you can slide the window out of the frame. the cam is splined onto the shaft and will pull right off.
