So here is something interesting and likely only applies to a handful of us that added FordPass to a truck without it. Ever since the battery drain update and even the current new version my truck always shows unactivated now in the ford pass app. It used to work fine. I can delete it and reactivate it and get the prompt on my sync screen but ford pass never recognizes it as activated. If I click the activate button again it says something isn’t right and to contact a guide. Anyone that added ford pass to a truck that didn’t originally have it seeing these issues as well? My wife’s f150 still works fine but it came with ford pass. Maybe Ford cracked down on us forscan users whom are always adding options and modules to our trucks that they never came with?
Are you sure you don’t mean “adding your truck to FordPass” not adding FordPass to your truck.
From the factory, your 2019 has the ability to use the app.

I had Sched Start for Thursday but turned it off because I didn't go in (if the boss says you don't have to then why bother lol).
I set it for Friday at 4:35am, it didn't start when I got out of the shower and I was pissed, button start on the app didn't work either. I had to run out and hand start it.
Man was I pissed at pre 5am and 12º outside ! AND I noticed that the way the front looked was different even though I had NOT done the update.
At work I started to fiddle with it, no go on any of it other then lock/unlock. I did the update. Wouldn't take a sched start at all but I also couldn't restart my phone till I was out of work.
Restarted phone just now and it just circles around when trying to do a sched start. Then pop up says "We're exp delay. Your request had need received but needs more time to process, do not resubmit. check back later"
I think I got that yesterday too.
I just did the button start and it's taking forever to start. Nope not working after 2 min trying.
I am beyond pissed as I would have ordered the remote start
edit, going to try clearing Cache and restart phone to see what helps. I have Motorola, android 10
Clearing the cache seemed to allow the schedule to be Scheduled but when I tried to have it sched start it still didn't work. And the button start is also not working.
I just restarted the phone, went out while that was doing to start the truck... hoping it would re-set something.
AND IT WORKED !
Now let us see if it will still work come Monday.

My truck did not come with sync connect or sync 3 from the factory. I added them myself from junk yard trucks and extensively documented how in another thread here post #10. I added the TCU (modem) and had to do all sorts of work with Forscan to activate it with Ford’s servers. I think T-Mac on this thread added sync connect to his truck as well so maybe he will comment on my post as it looks like he is having issues too.
Yes, same issue for me. For the past couple of weeks since one of the prior updates mine stopped working. All I know for sure is it didn’t work for 3.13 and still not on 3.14 for iPhone 11 running 14.3 iOS. My Apple Watch still has FordPass on it and I am able to start/lock/unlock my truck from it. I have an android tablet that was running 13.3 and now 13.4 and it wouldn’t work. Same issue as brandon above. However, I was able to load an older version of the android software. Version 3.10 I believe and it worked just fine. So it is nothing with the vehicle or the sync module that we added to our NON FordPass Sync Module vehicles. It is with the newer updates that is conflicting with only vehicles that have “added” FordPass modules that didn’t originally come with them. Anyone else with this issue have a thought or a resolution?

You need to restart your phone AND go out and start the truck with a key (let it run a minute or 2 then shut off).

I messed with it some today and compared TCU AsBuilt data from factory sync connect trucks of the same year with my truck and I noticed my TCU data wasn’t exactly the same so I changed it to match, didn’t help. I also updated the calibration of the TCU module with IDS and still doesn’t work, same results as before. It looks like this new Ford Pass App must check factory AsBuilt data from Ford for each vehicle added to add the buttons/features within the App for remote access. Does anyone know someone on the software development team for Ford Pass so I can confirm? My only other thoughts would be to use IDS to change the VIN in all the modules to a wrecked truck that had sync connect then add that truck to Ford Pass. I could only imagine what the Ford techs would say when it went in for warranty work and the VIN in the PCM/APIM doesn’t match the door sticker! The few of us that have done this mod might have to go third party to get functionality back. Any iOS geniuses out there that know how to restore an old version of the ford pass .ipa back on iOS 14?
Ok mine seems to be working correctly the last 2 days. Other then what I told you I've done nothing else and no other updates of anything on the phone.
FYI I do not allow any auto updates on my phone.
Seriously a screwed up program but I'm happy the sched start is now working.
I'm not going to update this thing ever again
