iPhone XS Max...iOS 14.2...FordPass v3.12.0...No issues, my battery will last 2 days...In Settings-->Battery, the FordPass app doesn't even make the list of apps using battery power...All functions of the app work (mileage, oil life, remote start, location, lock/unlock, fuel, etc)...I use Verizon for service...
Where in GA are you located, I am over in Carrollton...
Hmmm, very interesting.
I have no idea why the app is not working well for me since we have the same iPhone and I also was using the same FordPass version.
Carrollton........west of Atlanta. I was close to Carrollton today....Breman to be exact.
Well, it's still having issues.
last night it wouldn't take the schedule start for the am. Then I saw another update, more for F150s.
Restarted 2 times then it would take it and it worked.
right now I was trying to sched for 10 min before I leave work and it says it is unavailable.
WTF, I said nice things about it to someone this morning so it's showing me that it doesn't want to play nice now. Grrrr
Yesterday I decided to call the help number listed inside the app. After going thru steps that I had already tried, she said she needed to reach out another person for further information. After a few minutes she said she was still waiting for a response and offered to give me a call back in 30 minutes. I said OK. Still no call back 24hrs later.
The app is a gimmick at best when it was working, Now that it does not, FORD should be programming the stupid truck to show me oil life percentage in the dash, Total stupidity to expect a truck owner to rely on an app for this information. In 10 years is this app going to still be around? Not likely, but my truck likely will.
Mine was killing my iphone X's battery as well.
It was using 70+% of my battery somedays
with everything disabled......cell data etc.
The same thing was happening with my iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14. The app worked great until the iOS update. My phone was getting hot from the app running constantly in the background. I even shut the phone off, rebooted and the app would still run without even opening it. I deleted the app and my battery life is back to normal, two days without a charge.
Seriously stupid how it runs the battery on some Iphones and not others.
I would go on an iphone forum to find out if anyone else knows why this happens.
I know it has to be about the version and other things updated on that version for it to have such an issue.
still stupid for the amount you all pay for those phones...
scheduling is back up on my phone. Not sure why things just stop working ONLY when I want to activate that particular thing, Murphy's Law
I'll say it again. The Ford Pass app sucks. Completely sucks. Worst app I've ever been forced to attempt to use because Ford felt it necessary to leave off oil life percentage in the 18 year model. Literally that is the only reason I would ever use it which I never do because it has rarely ever worked. Each time there is an update on either side (iPhone or Ford) I'm hopeful only to be confronted with the reality that it still sucks and doesn't work.
For *****s and giggles I checked just now and nothing shows.
Got another Android update to FordPass this morning on Google Playstore - Version 3.13.0... held my breath, installed and everything still worked after the update - surprise, surprise!

Any issues with battery drain or have you checked.
Just wondering if the same thing is happening on Android because I’m an iPhone man.
I wish I was in the same boat as other iPhone owners who are not having issues.
Very strange that this problem affects some but not all iPhone owners with the same model iPhone, same iOS version, as well well as the same FordPass version.
