Started the truck in my own driveway a few days ago with no problem via the app. This morning I was fueling the work truck about a half mile from where my pickup was parked. No start with FordPass. Probably 15 minutes of a spinning wheel and the truck never did start. Ended up starting with the key when I parked the work truck. Not very useful.
Mine was killing my iphone X's battery as well.
It was using 70+% of my battery somedays
with everything disabled......cell data etc.
THIS! heating up and killing my iPhone XS multiple times daily, using 89% of battery despite everything disabled. Ford Pass deleted from phone, phone works fine. This is a real shame, vehicle app is very useful in other brands, ie GM. When it is -20° out it's nice to pull up the app and start the truck when you step out of the shower so when you head out the door the vehicle is ready to go! VERY disappointed in Ford's ****-poor implementation of this app!

Welcome to the club.
The best thing to do is to delete the app because even though FordPass said the issue was resolved, it definitely is NOT resolved.
After reinstalling it this past Saturday which was about a month after deleting it, with absolutely nothing related to the FordPass app turned on, including cellular, my XS Max started heat up after almost an hour and the FordPass app used 72% of my battery.
This happens when I’m at home with my phone connected to WiFi and it also happens when I’m using my cell provider which is AT&T.
Weird how it affects some iPhone owners and not others.
Yes, I deleted the FordPass app again and everything is back to normal.
Interesting thread...have been following as I have an Iphone XR and loaded the Ford Pass App. about a week ago. Checked the release and its
3.13.1 Was notified today, my 2021 King Ranch was delivered to rail for transport.. Yahoo,,!!! So I will see how it runs and stay tuned....
So... last night, AT&T delivered Android 11 OneUI 3.0 Operating System to my phone - latest and greatest! I thought, "Hmmm, I wonder if 3.13.1 might work better with the new OS?" - for about 30 seconds! Still running 3.10.1... I'd rather not take the chance "If it works, don't fix it!"

Also on AT&T, but running 13 iOS, have not upgraded to iOS 14. So.. you downgraded Ford Pass? Now usability has returned?
I updated my iPhone 11 Pro Max to 3.13.1 on Dec 2 when it came out. I now have the fuel, mileage and oil percent showing on it. Never had the lock/unlock/start feature working on it and I don't have the vehicle health or history on it. Currently it shows my fuel at 13% but I just filled the tank and drove a mile to get home. Won't store my dealer or any other functions on the app. And usually when I try to open it, it just closes and I have to try again. But at least my phone isn't overheating anymore. Maybe one day they'll get it fixed properly.
My iPhone app is still not working. Ive tried a dozen times to uninstall, reinstall, remove, add and master reset my unit. In various orders. No luck. I’m running an iPhone 11 with iOS 14.3 beta release 3. FordPass 3.13.1. I was able to confirm that my Samsung tablet with FordPass 3.13.1 would also not work. However with android you can download previous versions. I downloaded and installed 3.12.0 and my samsung tablet worked. So this is absolutely a compatibility issue with the app and iOS versions. If anyone has an idea or a fix or an older iOS .ipa file they can share please do so. Thank you.

Yes, I still had 3.10.0 on a Samsung Cloud Backup (luckily) so I've actually gone back to it on several occasions to bail myself out!!! I just "Restore" it, "Reconfigure" a couple of things and I'm back up and running!
There’s another variable that hasn’t been discussed, the version of Sync in the vehicle and if the vehicle settings could be causing the drain on the phone.
My iPhone 11 Pro Max was running iOS 14.2 before I deleted the fordpass app due to battery drain. I updated sync to 3.4.20282 over the weekend and I see a newer Fordpass app 3.13.1 was posted a week ago.
I won’t have time to test this configuration out until the weekend, but just wanted to point out that vehicle software and settings might also be something to consider.
It’s just weird that FordPass works on my wife’s vehicle on iPhone X, but mine doesn’t work on an iPhone 11. Maybe since her vehicle came factory with the FordPass module?
Scheduled starts is not working again. It keeps telling me that I can't schedule one that starts with in 5 min.... but I am scheduling for Thursday Morning at 4am . It was 10 am today I was trying to do it.
I find it interesting of those that have had the problems. I haven't had any issues, other than some of the font sizes seem to be too big and get cut off a bit. But I haven't had issues with tire pressure, remote starting and such. In fact, I did my first oil change last week and reset the oil life, and the next time I drove it, it was set to 99%. I regularly use the remote door locks, if I can't remember if I locked it.
I have my iPhone set up for auto updates. Current Versions:
Ford Pass 3.13.1
Apple iOS 14.2

It's crazy - totally "Hit or Miss" - glad yours is working for you!
Still "Chicken", mostly because it's only 19°F outside and we just got a foot of snow. I noticed this morning that the size of the Update had changed from 21MB to 82MB. When I clicked on it to see details, it had changed from 3.13.1 to 3.14.0... here's the "Changelog"
