I've searched a bit and the only dash bezel replacement options I've found are salvage. I made the mistake of trying to pop a side of my bezel out this weekend and it was like potato chips. Plastic cracking and mounting tabs breaking off as soon as I pulled on it. I didn't even pull hard. The bezel already had a couple of cracks around the stereo and I was just going to ignore it, but now it looks worse by the driver side and it's loose from not having having mounts there. Of course, the color I have is the hardest to find, the dark brown. I'm thinking of just getting a dark gray and living with it. Are there any aftermarket options? Maybe I'm just bad at using the internets.
Thanks. There are some part-outs on Craigslist nearish to me. Much of what I have seen on ebay so far has some wear, which I'll settle for a little bit of for the right color. I figured I'd ask if there was an aftermarket option that I'm just not seeing. All I have seen is vinyl covering or an overlay.
I ended up finding a salvage yard on car-part that was willing to ship. The bezel was cheap and shipping cost more than the part, but it was still about $80 total. The only down side was that it has the airbag switch, which I don't need. So I turned the keyhole into a USB charger/volt meter and the OFF light into the indicator for my alarm. While I had the bezel off, I was able to find room for my EGT gauge and the Hydra tuner flush mount. I'm really happy with the outcome. I'd like to not have the passenger airbag lettering, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.
You might try a cloth with Armor All on the lettering. I have been unlucky enough to discover on some vehicles that Armor All can do a number on white lettering like that. Now that might just be something on the wore out old junk I usually mess with, but I unwittingly completely wiped all the markings off a GM turn signal/wiper/cruise stalk by rubbing to hard with the Armor All.
