So after much great advice from y'all and research to confirm, it looks like one of my intercooler pipes made me almost crap my pants while towing my RV this weekend. I don't know if its the cold side or hot side, but my question is this....when they find the blown pipe, should I just get both replaced while they're in there? I think it's the cold side because I ran my hand down the tube (I couldn't see all of without taking it out), but I noticed that my had got covered in wet oil at one spot in the back.
I noticed via youtube that the cold side is much easier to get to than the hot side in back. If I blew the cold side, is it more likely that the hot side will also blow? The cold tube looks like really cheap plastic. I also got it deleted, so I think the extra boost is what caused me to almost loose my bowels.
The cold side is the one that gives the problems. The hot side is made of metal on the 6.7.You can sinde the money for both but most only replace the cold side. Here is a link where I installed a metal cold side on my truck.
