Hellava load there! Workin man bringing home the bacon!
Sorry to hear about your friend and neighbor Scags. 59 is way too early.
Just to think about that, what is everyone's age in this group? If you don't mind me asking.
me, 53
54 here. 55 next month. I'm trying to remember if 55 was my target age to retire. Memory wasn't the first thing to go. There was something else before that, but I can't remember what it was.
Damn Bowtie, 43 years years. I bet you didn’t realize that when you said to death do us part, you were setting a goal. 43years..... you could of been out of jail by now 😂
We were, and basically still are, polar opposites. We were teenagers (19 & 18) but both of us had jobs and were independent. Next thing you know 5, 10, 20 years later you're still together. At that point I sure as hell don't want to undertake training, and being trained again. Heck, we'll have our 50th anniversary before we're 70. It would be my luck I would get some psyco-beyotch and I would be the feature corpse on an Investigative Discovery episode. I think we'll coast on in like this.

That's awesome! You sure don't hear many stories like that these days. Keep it going!
Think I already mentioned it but turned 65 this week. Didn't think I was gonna make it past 60 but here I am. Totally didn't plan and now faced with decisions about my future. Hopefully I'll go out having enough for funeral and last months rent.

Momma is/was always good to go.
Happy Belated Birthday, Sir! Here's wishing you many more. There was a time I didn't think I'd see any ripe old age. Too much partying, hell raising, and doing stupid stuff. My wife's probably the main reason nothing really bad ever happened to me. I've been to two of my friends' funerals in the last 12-14 months. Both of 'em never gave up the lifestyle. Cocaine, pot, pills, never quit the cigs..... I never got into the drugs but I drank a lot. Seeing a lot of the old crew at the funerals was eye opening too. Guys in their early 60's looking like 70+. Can't live like that forever. They make me look like a "young" 62. LOL... The saving grace for me was getting married. Kept me away from those wild-asses.

Thanks for the birthday wish! Lived life as hard as I could knowing I had to show up at work next day. Friends I grew up with (really good families) sticking needles in their arm, some still to this day but most are gone. Never understood that, I still turn my head when going for blood work!
Scags, that’s terrible news. It really hits a guy when you think of going that young.
AdirondEx, happy belated birthday.
Bowtie, same thing here with my wife. We are opposites and that’s what keeps us together. Same mindset as to goals in life but that’s about it. She watches 90 Day Fiancé, I now watch fat sisters........ I blame you. 😂
Age? Damn. I was hoping this question was never asked. I figured I was the youngblood of the group but hoping someone comes in younger. 37 years young for me. I hope I don’t go from a smart *** to a cocky kid. 😬🤷♂️🤪
