I know the name Mossberg and that it's usually associated with shotguns. I own no shotguns. My eyes don't work well enough to track something on the fly. Stationary, I'm good.
I don't even like going to the driving range. I whack that little ball and have no idea where the heck it went. It could go straight as an arrow (very unlikely in my case) and still not see it. I need someone to stand behind me and tell me where to look.
Glad he didn't get hurt Bowtie, I drove a fork truck for over 20 years, still do sometimes. I've seen all kinds of crazy stuff. Falling through trailers, driving off docks, breaking water lines, gas lines, etc. etc. He's VERY lucky!! And so are you!! He will never forget that for sure.
Sorry, late arrival, working, checking in...

Its an old .22. 10? Shot you load through side of the stock then metal tube goes into rear of stock to lock them in. Has an offset iron sight and a scope. It’s a little heavy for them but they will grow stronger.
I went to Boy Scout Summer Camp for many years. There was often no question about where I was: the rifle range. It was disappointing that there was only one rifle merit badge. Fortunately, they offered the Marksman program with increasing levels. I didn't have any money for the trading post because I spent it all at the rifle range. When I ran out of money I would switch to the archery range or help clean up the rifle range for free ammo.

We dodged a major bullet today. The kid is up there with his dad (my nephew) and he likes to drive anything with wheels, and he's really a good worker. He's only 16 and it's scary to think what the ramifications would have been if he had gotten hurt. He did the right thing and rode it all the way down. He really wasn't going that fast, he just had the forks raised high enough to where the scrap bag wasn't dragging the ground but the guard was high enough, and he was traveling at an angle and didn't hit the pipe straight on and it rolled him over. I've seen my share of carnage on them too. I used to work for an LTL carrier and we've had HazMat called to the terminal more than one time due to guys piercing drums with corrosives and other nasties. Had a guy going into a trailer with a pallet of Duracell batteries and the yard guy pulls the trailer out as he's going in. He was far enough in that when the trailer left the dock it fell out of the back of the truck counterweight first and when it hit with about 3k worth of batteries on the forks it rolled backwards and then fell on its side with batteries all over the place. A couple of us that saw it jumped down there and dug him out. He was pretty shook up but aside form a couple of bruises and scratches he was ok. You can get hurt or hurt somebody in an instant. Hopefully this will be a lesson for everyone else to slow down and be aware of their surroundings.

Maybe? It looks an awful lot like the gun my Dad and Grandpa first handed me when I was seven. It was a .22 semi-auto, and had a slot on the stock for filling er up. I think they even put a scope on it when I was older. But I think my Grandpa gave it to a second cousin so don't know for sure. I got my kids a single-shot .22/410 where you swap barrels to choose rifle or shotgun mode.
Get it Skags! Started out the day with a 4 AM call from the alarm monitoring peeps about a "service problem" at the shop. Not necessary to go up there but pretty sure it's fire alarm rated since we shut it down yesterday after the event. The sprinkler guys showed up @ 0730 to fix the damage. They said it is minimal and they should be able to re-use the 4" pipe that was hit. Hope it's minimal $$. Getting ready to go to BroncoRN's town to pick up materials. Y'all have a good and productive day. Be safe!
Sounds like another busy day already Bowtie. Hope it goes better than yesterday. Another hot & humid day here, the pop up showers missed us yesterday but hopefully we'll get some today. I have a light schedule before work so I'm just trying to stay cool!

Good to hear, I would imagine a few new straight sections of pipe with couplings and you'll be good to go. Good luck.
Going to office today to mail out reports and invoices. Check the homestead and pick up a few groceries while I'm in town and then back up the river for happy hour. Gotta remember to pick up Queen Olives for Martini's.

8:00am here and I’m IN.
Have a good day everyone. Hopefully this gets you in a great mood.
Looks like a safer design would be running the trunk closer to the building with laterals and sprinkler heads slightly above the trusses. Then again I know shyt about sprinkler design.
Maybe one of papa t's alter ego's can provide guidance?
OK, FWIW, I got an answer on why they ran the lines that way. We are above the "freeze line" here in Jacksonville. I know that sounds absurd to you northerners, but it is what is is. This is a dry system, meaning there isn't water in the pipes past the main valves. The valves are held shut by compressed air in the pipes past the cutoff valve. When something releases the pressure on the valve, ie a fire activating the heads or a strike by a forklift, the valve opens filling the system with water and flowing from the activated heads, or in our case, the seperated pipe joints. This means the sprinkler heads can not be lower than the main lines in case there is a freeze so they don't crack. There you go. Basic fire sprinkler bs 101.
Gotta get out of here. 400 miles today.
