Opposite coast, but same type of Governor here. The possibility of getting a CCW permit varies by county here, some counties wont issue. I'm in a county that will issue them, not easily but will, so I considered it. Its a very long drawn out process consisting of $, paper work(obviously), certain number of hours in class, interview with the Sheriffs department. At one time, part of the process involved the Sheriffs contacting your neighbors and/or co workers about you. I've heard that they may no longer do that, but that is the most disturbing part if they actually still do. I have some ghetto trash neighbors that aren't my favorite, I'm sure their dislike of me is similar to my dislike for them, as well as some neighbors that might be anti gun. And after all that, they can deny the application without giving any reason at all.
If I pursued it, my G26 would have been my carry, although something like S&W Shield would be nice. I think there is 1 version of it that we are allowed to purchase here.

Not at all, Man. I try to stay way from wheelbarrows, period. Meanwhile, my Saturdays consist of going to the bank for deposit we couldn't get there yesterday. Banks closed early. Going to Lowes' to get a couple of pallets of concrete to hold us over 'til Tuesday when their truck delivers 12 pallets. Again, so we don't **** off customers. Then off to the home-20 to do the yard. Got to trim the bushes (think yard plants) today. Wife: "Can you trim them straight this time? Last time you made them crooked. Looked like S3kat." I could envision what would happen if I told her "Honey, do you think you could vacuum those rugs better. Last time the lines were crooked." Yeah, cut-off city. Reminds me of the time I helped B-I-L #1 go pick up a matress & box springs from B-I-L #2's brother (on the wife's side). We knew he was a flamer but we did as instructed, and went into their house. He has a "husband", or "wife" they are both equally flametastic. Anyway, their house was immaculate. Even the lines in the carpet were perfectly straight and the overlap looked like a CAD drawing. Must be hard work to be a pillow-biter. I gave B-I-L #1 grief for years about sleeping on that mattress. Still makes me cringe.
