I was in the shop this morning and installed the rear cab mounts
Then my wife came home from the post office carrying a parcel I was expecting from Morris ( FOMOKO1 ).
I was in need of a passenger side running board and Morris had a 53 F350 with a damaged board he offered me
and was up to the challenge to straighten it out if I could, here is the board as received
Amazing what someone can do with a forklift that has no respect for this gems. so I started right away trying to
repair it the best I could with muscle, hammers and floor jacks..
I still have a little work to do and a crack to weld up at one of the bolt holes..
Looks good now John, I`m glad I was able to get it off without destroying the bolt holes.
I can see why so many go out west to bring trucks to the east Morris. There is no penetrating rust anywhere on that board. Want to thank you again, now I have all the parts to complete the body as far as sheet metal goes..
Not much to add other than the inner cab corners are attached to the floor
and I started stripping the paint from the cab with a D/A sander on the larger flat panel to avoid any warping ,once that is done I'll sandblast all that can't be sanded easily
The roof was pretty much caved in from someone standing on it by the looks of it so have been working out the dents.

Hi John, I just came across this. I didn’t know you started another build thread. I’ll be following along. I really enjoyed your last build. Nice work. Beautiful craftsmanship. And I thought my little pick up was a project! This is an undertaking. Looking forward to watching it come together.
