you might be right, I still have to figure why the hpop isn’t holding oil as it should, so if an injector is bad ( orings) could it cause it to drain down?

Well it’s almost time lol
finally got everything I need to tear it apart, we will see tonight what the diagnosis is!

got my new turbo parts in, think mine was trashed in comparison

The plan is to pull injectors 1 at a time , replace the orings , shim if needed, replace glow plugs I will test the old ones and keep if they are food

If you don’t find an obvious problem with turbo or external injector o-ring - you’re wasting time and money changing o-rings. The problem will be injector internals.

Hoping you find a compromised o-ring...

I would pull one bank of injectors at a time. Start at the back (7&8) so most of the fuel/oil runs into those cylinders.

Evacuate cylinders before installing each injector, then spin the engine over at least (2) revolutions by hand (with VC on!) before installing GP’s. Do not remove oil galley plugs like some directions suggest....

Holler if you’ve got questions!

I agree if i don't find something obvious it will be a lot of work for nothing! Beginning to think i am chasing my tail , but hoping for the best LOL
I have a guy coming over tonight to run his software on my truck, so kinda hoping it will tell me more then i think i know!
A couple of things going on that make me think it's an injector, was burning a lot of oil and had a miss with loss of power, then for almost 2 days burned hardly any oil and power returned like an injector started working again, maybe find a bad( loose ) wire somewhere, i will be looking at this too! all the while i can hear the turbo
then the problem returned.
Not sure if you caught this but i believe i got some bad fuel a few weeks ago, that's why i was thinking the o rings would need to be done.
I have a turkey baster with a piece of 1/4 " hose attached to pull the oil from the cylinder.

I will indeed give a shout if i have an issue Thanks

Without even trying it I can tell you that they will not be food.

I don’t think 1/4” hose will fit through the hole. I stick a piece of brake tubing (1/8” maybe 3/16”??) in the hose on Mighty Vac to get in there.

My Mighty Vac broke awhile back and I did this. Hilariously and successfully !!

Aunt Cindy always said ‘Don’t compromise - improvise!!’

good morning folks, Just a minor update!
Not sure if it's as reliable as i would like BUT , the guy came over last night with his computer system Matco Maximus 2.0 hooked it up to the truck and ran vary similar tests as i did with forscan,
in his opinion everything checks out, he said my injectors as good, most likely just an o ring needs to be replaced, according to what he was looking at, looked like #2 was the culprit!

SO i am tearing apart the drivers side this morning to see what i can see, wish me luck!
