I lost the key to the fuel cap on my 1984 F250 diesel. Anyone know how to easily remove without a key or how to obtain a replacement key? Are they all the same?
I have a collection of Keys from Harbor Fright Master locks and a bunch of keys that fit Older Camper access Panels ... chances are good one of them will Fit.
I've had good luck with the HF lock keys working.
Other than that you will probably need to drill it out.
I bought locking caps for my truck, mine have a number on them. See if yours does, maybe you can get lucky and buy a cap that matches that number, the key should fit, in theory at least.
Don't waste your time at the Dealer as those Caps are Aftermarket and the dealer won't help you... IF you want to spend money then go to your Local Lock DOC they will unlock them in seconds for a small fee. New Locking caps are like 5 bux from RockAuto
