Are these all Nevada animals? I've been hunting south east Idaho for years but had to stop when I went thru cancer treatments in 2007. I said to my self i was going next years. That's a great hunt. Didn't know they issued two elk tags for one year in Nevada. They were doing that in Idaho or Wyoming for a while where we hunt but have since stopped. I would like a picture of your lift on the back of your truck. Like to see what you did there. You had a great trip. Some of our guys have gotten Moose tags and filled them also. To expensive for out of staters now for my blood. But that meat is the best out there. Thanks for the lines you sent me. I'm glad you like that T4. I guess I'm going to have to break down and try to see how I can get it smogged.
Yes these are all 2019 Nevada resident tags. You can get a cow and a bull in the same year but you cannot get two cows or two bulls. I harvested my large bull in 2015 and I'm still in a seven year waiting period but spike bull is a different list. You could not get a bull and a spike bull tag in the same year.
Here's some more pics of the hoist from yrs back. The winch normally stores in front bumper for vehicle recovery but disconnects and plugs and attaches to the hoist. Actually the hoist can be used front or back but the back offers the bed as extra work space when you remove tailgate. My friends bull a couple years back. The handle locks the top section back or pivot the animal to the rear of truck for more clearance and locks in place. My sons cow last year. My 2015 bull never made it to the hoist because he was harvested in wilderness area and I had to pack it out.
Ingenious, I stopped packing on my back years ago. We use are horses now for that. I'll have to show this to some of my friends. What part of Nevada do you hunt these in? I new they had some big bucks but never thought about Elk there. Done most of my hunting in Idaho and Wyoming. Use to hunt California but that stopped for big game years back.
I considered using the flex pipe to get the down pipe off the firewall but heard excellent reviews of an exhaust shop in Las Vegas so I just drove it in and 1 1/2 hours drove it out with no vibration and a solid setup. $150.00 out the door was well worth it to me. Way more clearance than before.
