give me the length of the broken one, i likely have it in one of the packs laying around.
A really rough measurement in the parking lot of my work with the rear wheel on and curved leaf ends...I'm thinking it's the one that is 28.5" - 29" (closer to 29"). If memory serves it's the 5th leaf from the top of the modded pack, so that should be the upper of the 2 leafs from the stock spring...
i have that leaf but it is in a +6” spring pack. meaning it will likely add a small increase in ride height.
depending on your current ride height we could install it , see how it sits and pull the bottom leaf. or just remove the 30” leaf from both sides if the rear currently sits high.
what are your front snd rear hub to fender measurements,
with the “mid travel” f250 suspension you would be better off with a lower spring rate anyhow.
B mod spring rate is about what the sock Ex had at 420 lbs per inch which is correct when you have 5” of travel stock, but by switching to 8” of travel the rate is too high. 420x8 = 3360 or 6730 for both, that exceeds the axle weight rating of 5200. long story short, needlessly running more spring rate then you can use at the expense of ride quality
I removed the rear seat and carry about 250lbs of drawers and gear in the back all the time...
I did the V/Modded B prior to this, so the front is a tad higher than stock. I don't want the front "too high"...
I use a hitch that is one of those adjustable height + adjustable ball size - so it sits much further out that a regular hitch = "feels" heavier to the suspension a little bit...
I tow 10k search and rescue trailers regularly...
I have AirLift bags on the back to make sure I ride level when I tow - I run them at 15psi when not towing...60psi when towing
I'd like to try to keep my current height as much as possible...if I "sag" a little when towing I can use the air bags to gain back about an inch to an inch and a half at 60psi...I can only go 100psi so if the new springs are 'softer' in load capacity, I have to be able to make that up between 60psi and 100psi
Let me get you some measurements from hub to wheel well.
with the air spring it opens up a whole new realm of options and we can certainly get you better then a typical mod B setup.
pm me your phone number.
i am leaving on a sailing trip for awhile but i would really like to sort your rear suspension setup out. can do it as soon as i return. until then retorque your ubolts and run the busted leaf. it isnt going to hurt anything
