Looks like lots of progress. I gotta get that DS plate. I never knew about it and it looks pretty darn handy!
I'm trying to get rid of RTV in every situation I can! lol
Also, I fixed 99% of my boost leaks, have no exhaust leaks (that I can find), but yet struggling to make 24psi of boost and have more smoke than ever right now. Going to check fuel pressure next I think...

Just went out and did some various runs in different tunes, and didnt see any more boost than with Brian's tunes. I also ruled out HPOP as it will hold steady at 3000psi all the way past 100mph in my "Drag Ripper" tune, which is a 4.3ms tune.
If you have black smoke spewing out I doubt it's your fuel pressure, might be bad fuel or if you run any fuel additive it might not be mixed to an appropriate ratio.
Dumb question but how is the air filter? Also any chance theres a rag in the intake?

it's got more smoke than usual, but I was under the impression that low fuel pressure leads to poor atomization, which causes smoke, high egts, lower boost and lower fuel economy?
It's been like this for a few weeks now, for a couple fill ups, clean air filter and no obstructions too.
Do you still have a stock turbo?
What about injectors? Could be an issue with a nozzle being cooked.
Diesel Site Wicked BallBearing Turbo about 6 months old.
Stock AB injectors with unknown mileage. Truck has 386k miles on it, I've owned for 66k miles, and previous owner had it for 40k, meaning they have ATLEAST 106k miles on them, but still not a whole lot. I have had a feeling they have been going bad for a while, but trying to not believe it. Lol.
If I have good fuel pressure, I would probably like to get them flow tested and inspected... idk anything else that could be causing the problem other than low compression, but the motor only has 35k miles on it.
I am not an expert but I would pull the injectors and check all the nozzles. If any are black replace all of the injectors and send a sample of coolant in for testing. If there is diesel in the coolant replace all the cups. But then again I am no expert just based on my experience.
I'm not following with the black nozzles, every 7.3 injector I've pulled has had black tips, it's just from combustion I thought? I've even had some with some carbon buildup on them.
When I rebuilt the motor 35k miles ago, they were all flow tested and 3 "failed" so they were replaced with remans from FFD. When all 8 went in, they were known good condition with brand new injector cups and o rings. If any of them are bad, I'm gonna be pissed! 🤣🤣

Hmm well a bit more has been done than I thought.
If the copper washer has let any combustion past the tip the insides of the injector get cooked and if it happens long enough the cup fails.
