I have a 1978 F-150 with a 351c that was pulled from a '71 Mercury Montego and rebuilt. One of the 3 wires between the distributor and the ignition coil is broken just at the connector on the distributor side of the connector. Has anyone had any experience repairing this type of wiring? The wiring coming from the distributor is not removable, so Im guessing it would need to be soldered, as I wouldn't be able to purchase a replacement without replacing th whole distributor...Any help is greatly appreciated!

This sounds like you have a Duraspark distributor installed instead of the original points and condenser dizzy. The points and condenser distributor only has one wire.
If you have the later DS II system, replacement pigtails are available or you can replace the pickup coil in the distributor. The first two versions used different plugs than the later ('76 and up).
