Had a no start issue recently. Turned out both batteries were not good, so I replaced them. Figured the no start was FICM related, so I replaced the power supply.
In the meantime, ordered a scan gauge. Reinstalled FICM, scan gauge reading 0.00 for main power and 5.5-6 for logic power.
I think it's likely a grounding issue... but any other ideas?
While it's out take the alternator and have it bench tested.
Bad alternator can also cause FICM and Battery damage.
I agree with Sean - please get the alternator bench tested. When it is being tested, please be sure to test it when it is physically uncomfortably hot to the touch as bad voltage regulators show their ugliness then. Many have resorted to sticking the thing in the kitchen oven at 225 for an hour just before the test. Crazy, but it works.
