Your a brave man installing the transfer-and -mission at the same time. I just couldn't bring myself to do it that way. Hope all goes well and eagerly awaiting start-up.

She's alive! Got 18 quarts of fluid in and took her for a test drive. Shifts are crisp and on point. 2nd and 3rd have way more pull than they used to. I wish I had more time today to log some miles, but I'm on the road now. I'll be back tomorrow to give her a good long run. Thanks for following along with me on this journey. I'm happy to be done. Man, that was a lot of work!

I got tip my cap to you. I'm handy, and brave, but I'm hesitant to get that far in to a 4R100.

But I can now!

Thanks!

Lot of work, but it was fun. Wasn't it?

Alright man. Good job. Two weeks from now when you wake in the morning, your first thought will be, "I rebuilt my transmission." And the good thing about it is that you now know what is in it and don't have to second guess what's in it if you had someone else rebuild it. You may be finished, but this journey is not over. There will be others on this path with confidence they to will succeed because of what you have shared. You may not be in the balcony with Mark, but you should be able to see him from where your sitting. I got a buddy that use to rebuild HPOP. He said there are only two things that scare him. Snakes and Automatic Transmission. Way to go Snake Charmer.

Finally got a chance to put on some miles and really warm up the trans. It takes way longer to get her up to temp than it used to. After a 30 mile drive, she finally got above 180, so I know I finally got flow through the 6.0 cooler. She drives and shifts great. I'm gonna baby her for a while to slowly break the new trans in. Thanks for all the support and following along the way! I'm going to call this thread wrapped up. I hope this gives others the confidence to tackle this project on your own. Automatic transmissions are no longer a mystery to me and I hope I de-mystified them a little bit for you too. I was seriously intimidated by this project before it started, but now I am glad I did it. If anyone is going to do this in the future, please feel free to post here or PM me and I'll do my best to answer.

I can't rep him either but I'm more scared off by what I saw than I am convinced that I could do it. There's a looootttt of places there that a tiny thing could go wrong and blow the whole deal.
