Worth the gamble...I have in my hand $3500 in a PCO ($2500) and X Plan bonus ($1000). If they do raise the price I just don't see a $3500 increase especially at the price point they are, they already are higher in price than the 19's, how far can they go till Cheby/GMC/Ram starts to look good. Roll of the dice I guess.
Interesting enough the Chevy/GMC guys feel they're the cheaper ones.
I actually had an argument with a guy on the Duramax forum a couple days ago because I asked how Ford was more when you had to jump to a fully loaded LTZ/SLT to get the exact same options as a fully loaded Lariat. He insisted I was wrong I needed to compare a King Ranch or Platinum to the LTZ/SLT to have equal trucks.
COULD NOT get him to understand that made no sense when a cheaper/lower level Ford trim had the same options as the higher Chevy/GMC trim.

You are pretty safe IMO Oaks. You ordered early and your truck should be here soon. It’s my order that I worry about. As I said before, my 03’ experienced THREE price increases before it finally arrived. Im not sure when my truck will be here. And yes, the price increased pretty dramatically for the 2020. I don’t think they’re going to raise it again this month, but you never know, especially with GM on strike and not building trucks. That could change everything. A whole bunch of GM fleet orders could be cancelled and coming to Ford.

IMO Ford GETS IT! I think they know and understand the customer a lot better. How many car makers have 3 Top o Line trucks (KR, Plt, Limted), biggest diff is the interior color of the seats. I thought about the Limited until I saw the interior and IMO that is just NOT a working man's truck unless dirty seats you like! In the old days, they used to say: he has so much money he buys a new car when he gets the ashtray full, maybe today: he has so much money he buys a new Limited when he gets the seats dirty!

George, I would think a $ increase would come after the new year and I think they would announce it in advance. My thinkin, you are good to go.

Oaks, given my order is a month behind yours, I’m not risking it. My name is still on my DORA. I received almost $1,700 back in 03’. Three separate checks for three increases, and I was never notified. My dealer took care of it when I brought it to their attention.

My buddy accuses me of buying trucks to avoid getting new tires. Not true, but he has a point...
November 4th
I'm told November 4th is the first run. I made into that batch so I should have one of the first productions F450 Limited trucks. Not sure if that is a good thing or not !!! We will see.
Kelderman has already received a 2020 F450 for a project build by someone high up in Ford.
I have a F-450 Limited on order but no build date or VIN from my dealer yet. My order priority is 10, is that high or low?
Also the deal I got was at invoice price which I am told is good for California (San Jose) where dealer overhead is high. My dealer wanted a $1K deposit.
My order priority was listed as 19 on my build sheet. I interpreted that as not too high, and haven't been surprised that I don't yet have a build date or VIN yet either (ordered on 9/30, F350 lariat). I figure I won't see the truck until Jan. I'm not in a big hurry though.
I found this on another forum thread. It seems to make sense:
10 is the lowest priority number (highest priority) a dealer can put on an order. It only applies to that dealer's orders, and doesn't have any bearing on orders from any other dealerships. It is my understanding that some dealers start their numbering at a higher number (ie, 20 or 30) to give them room to put more priority on some vehicle orders if they need to. If they order all vehicles at priority 20, then priority 20 would be the baseline highest priority from that dealership. If that dealership then put one order through, say... for their best customer, at level 10, it would get fast-tracked ahead of other orders of that vehicle type from that dealership. It wouldn't have any effect on another production line (ie, higher priority for an F150 on the same production line would fast-track that F150 order over other F150 orders from that dealer, but would have no effect on a Taurus or Flex order on a different production line).
Numbers below 10 are reserved for the regional management or someone else up the chain of command. It will fast-track the priority ahead of dealership orders. I heard they use this to fast track vehicles for special circumstances, or instance, an ordered vehicle may have gotten damaged in a delivery truck/train accident or something like that and needs to get replaced in a hurry. Statistically, there must be an occasional semi-truck load of vehicles that get damaged on the highway, or vehicle that gets damaged while being loaded on a train, or bribery of a Ford exec, mafia connections, etc
I'll add that my priority 10 order came in 4 fours weeks, where as my priority 14 took 6 weeks.

You should be able to go below invoice but I can see dealers not wanting to on a new year pre order. Do you have the X Plan or are you a Costco member? Costco will hook it up with a dealer that accepts their discounts. I paid $500 on a deposit. Basically a first right of refusal when it arrives. Fully refundable. I went to Walnut Creek Ford. They take X Plan and Costco plan. They start negotiating when it arrives.
Btw I went to my local dealer who I've bought 2 F150s in recent years and when it came to ordering they have blown me off twice and they said they'd give me invoice right off the bat. Hence why I went to a better dealer. Too bad they don't want to do orders. They never mentioned costs or anything as a limiting factor.

Interesting to know. I got in a bind on my '19 and had to have it due to business requirements or I walk on the deal today and keep my '17. I got my '19 in less than 30 days, I gave them a 30 day window and the dealer got it to me in IIRC 28 days at the beginning of the model year. THey did tell me that put the order on their highest priority...guess so!

I just looked at my prioritie # and it is 20.
I made it into the first week of production.
I just got off the phone with my dealer. Priority is 30, and like Oaks mentioned, my dealer took the liberty to order the truck as “stock”, and not a retail sale to Speed things along.
