I see snow in your pic, what part of the country do you guys live?

I may ask a favor of you: I need to tow a trailer and what I need to know is how long of a hitch extension underneath the rear of the mammoth am I going to need. I needed a 48 in extension when I had my Arctic Fox, but it had a rear door, so I needed more room. My trailer is 12 ft box and not sure what the "V" is, need to measure that.
Mine won’t be there until Dec. Thats all you. We live in Houston. The photo is my truck after being sprayed with a foam cannon. Fastest way to wash these things.

The extension debate seems to fall between 42” and 48”. Randall Pozzie at Host said 42” but many stated that if you can swing the lower tongue weight/ towing capacity, the 48” was easier to work with. I think it also has to do with being able to open the basement hatch and the slide. I haven’t got another toy to haul so I’ll just envy others (for now).

Thanks I should have thought to call Randall...

I built the one for my Arctic fox, but gave it to the guy sho bought it, wish I had kept it. Torklift get about $400 for a 48 in...sadly I sold my welder and gear, which I kept after I sold my shop. But my eyes just not up for it anymore, sure miss it. I will look around and see if I can find a local welding shop to built one to my specs.

We will be down in Galveston at the Dickens on the Strand week after next and the following weekend we will be at the Tomball Christmas show.

Ha! I live literally next to Tomball. I’m still working my hitch in Guyana so I won’t make it back until first week of Dec. Your up in hill country and the wife loves wine, so I imagine we will cross paths soon enough. Besides, there can’t be many Hosts in Texas. I’m still waiting to see my 1st on the road. Put 7500 miles on my Lance TT and saw a lot of TCs - most AF and Lance. None where Hosts.

I have noted that RrincessCraft in Austin sells every Host they get in and seem to quickly. I tried to work a deal but they would not even since I had a 5th wheel to trade. Suprised they don't sister up with a dealer they can sell or put on that lot to move, they lost my business. I lived out in Scottsdale before coming to the Hill Country so I called Tom's and they said make, model and year, send pics and they made me a written offer and a good one at $30k for my 5th.

You can't miss my place, I tell folks I am the last hilltop in the Hill country...actually there is a couple tween me and San Antonio but NOT many.
