Pin 30 is the MLPS + signal pin on the PCM .... it's tricky to do that without using a Break Out Box and I never like to poke holes in the wires.

IF you look at the manual you can see the full schematics at the end ... you would be better off using the Troubleshoot guide page 17 starting on 16 and verify those Numbers.
These tests are talked about again on page 39

on that MLP sensor adjustment there just isn't much range of movement ..... like Mark says IF it only starts in N or P then you should be good to go.

It will go up if you press the accelerator pedal. If you don't press it the engine speed will go down.

you just have to kinda "Read Between the Lines" Basically what the Break out box is, is a pair of connectors that connect between the PCM and the PCM wire harness and it has a box with test points so that you can more easily probe the connections....

this is the Box I have... but it isn't needed but sure is handy.

It's not hard to make a breakout box IF you really feel the need...........
Here is a link to a DIY Break Out Box ...... http://www.merkurclub.net/kizerweb/s...s/breakout.htm

IF nothing else the chart on that website can be handy.

I Realize you are across the Pond so finding spare EEC-IV connectors in junque yards may be problematic... pretty plentiful here in the States

Hello
I have now installed a aux cooler.
the outside temperature was at 75F today. uphill the maximum temperature was 177F. Overland, the temp dropped back to 168F.
I hope it gets warm enough when the weather is cooler.

the "switch to neutral" error did not occur today.

Thank you very much for your great support.

IF you have problems in the colder weather you can always install a Thermal Bypass.

hello there,
hello we are back from vacation,
we drove about 3000 km.
no neutral shift dropouts from the transmission. didn't lose any oil and the temperature was always between 145-185F. it was a completely different ride with the cooler ATF.

Thank you for your first class help.

Marc
