I have recently acquired the lovely p20ee code in addition to the p0401 code i have been having for the last couple months. Is it time to delete my ‘11 6.7? I am absolutely not looking to spend any money on repairs anything that will eventually ruin my engine. Truck has 68,000 miles on it and is completely stock. Also wondering if anyone has comparisons of tyrants performance tune vs extreme tune (110 vs 130hp). Thanks!
Deleting your truck may cost you more money than getting your truck fixed. What are you afraid of? Just take it in to the dealer and have them fix it. Could be a very simple fix. To delete your truck will cost you thousands of $$$ not to mention all that time wrenching.
Im not afraid of anything, just basically using this as an excuse to delete because i want the reliability and fuel mileage that deleting offers. And right now i can get a tuner, tunes, a delete pipe, and no limit egr block off plates for a total of $900. Not too bad considering i wont have to worry about any of the emissions equipment going wrong again.
Did you even search the forum for the codes? Or did you Google the codes? I bet you will find multiple threads discussing the same codes as yours. Some might have deleted but since I have no plans to delete, i am not concerned.

Are these canned tunes or custom tunes from a quality tuner? Quality custom tunes are important and you'll spend $900+ just on the tuner/tunes plus the needed truck components. You don't want to go cheap with these trucks, especially with the firmware.
It's fairly easy to hit $1,500 with either option. It depends on your various issues and what you choose to do. The P0401 is around $900 for an independent shop to repair, no idea on dealer prices. The two NOx sensors are around $300 each. The DEF injector is $335. The DEF heater is a $900 repair. The DOC/SCR/DPF unit is $4,011 dealer price plus core just for parts.
Also, since you have an '11, keep in mind the original turbo. You don't want to add too much HP/boost or you'll be purchasing a turbocharger as well.

Thank you for the reply. The tunes are custom tunes from Tyrant Diesel and they run $350 for 2 custom tunes. I already have an SCT X4 to load them on. All i need is a delete pipe and egr block off plates. I dont plan on driving my truck like i stole it as one of my reasons for deleting is to boost mpg, so that should keep my factory turbo lasting a while. If i can get it to last a couple years then i wont have a problem putting money into a ‘15 turbo swap.
