Sct X3 ?

Sct X3 ?
Unplugged egr valve on my 06 and expected a check engine light on my second start up and its here. So now, the SCT X3 doesnt recognize that there is a DTC. What is the deal?

yep same problem with the 05. SCT does not find the EGR error code - Ford does there are 2 one for the valve and one for the MAP flow rate.
You will be in 'limp' mode, truck will not run with full power and mileage drops bad like 8mpg
Only way to fix it is a tune to take the EGR out of the tune.. but I have read, that no longer works as thought.. has to do with the EPA table over rides when EPA functions fail.

As i figured, after plugging it back in and completing a drive cycle, the light went away. I thought the X3 was suppose to be a good reader? Oh well, you live, learn, and then buy something that will read codes better!!
