I'm the proud third owner of a fully restored 6.0 Excursion, and the current wheels I have (18x9.75 Series 1069 Pro Comps) are trashed and in need of replacing...terribly pitted.
I'm hoping for a "clean" look that doesn't push the wheels really far outside the wheel wells, and didn't know if anyone could weigh in whether -44 offset will play nicely with the Ex.
Ditto. With these wheels, it's not the offset that you need to worry about, but the width, as you can see in the picture above. They look like that because they're 12" wide. You're best off with a 9" wide wheel to keep the tire profile more normal looking. Now if you can find a 9" wide wheel with a negative offset, then that would be more ideal to avoid rubbing.
Thanks for weighing in fellas...it’s so hard to find wheels that look clean that don’t have doofy offset appropriate for a 16 year old with too much money. I miss the old Weld Racing wheels from the late 90’s / early 2000’s.
They’re available in 20x9 with 0 or -25mm offset. Which do you think would give a good look without hanging super far outside wheel wells with lowest chance of rubbing?
