noob question about wheel width
i have a 2004 f150 4x4 lariat supercab (new body style). i am considering buying new 20" wheels to replace the stock 18x7.5 inch alloy wheels. most of the wheels i have seen online are either 8.5"-10" wide.
what width wheels do you guys recommend? some people i have spoke with have said that wider wheels (10" width) can have an adverse affect on my truck's steering. i am also a little leary about getting wheels which will cause my tires to stick out too far and constantly splash mud on the side of my truck. i can get a good deal from a guy at work who is selling on a new set of motto mt700 wheels (offset -25mm, backside setting 4 1/2).

what are the pros and cons of going with the 8.5" vs 10" wide wheels?
how is the width of the wheel going to affect the feel of my ride?
how is it going to affect the look of my wheels?
thanks in advance
