I'm trying to find some simple steel wheels for my Bullnose. It has 16x6" wheels but the 265/75s on there would fit better on 16x 8" wheels.
Summit, who I used to use a lot, don't even know any wheel specs for our trucks. Man they have gone downhill.
Discount Tire knows the specs by offset 0 or -6 (mm, I assume) but only has alloy wheels. This is a ranch truck and I want steel wheels.
So 0 offset translates to 4" backspacing on a 8" wheel. Does that sound correct to you? That would mean my 6" stock wheels have 3" backspacing.
Has anybody found a source for plain black steel wheels?

Have you looked at the Cragar Soft 8 wheels? I have a set on my truck in 15x8 with 4" backspacing. I'm not sure on the 16" sizes or bolt patterns, but something like this wheel below. If you're saying that a -6mm (1/4") offset is OK, then the wheels below would only be off by a 1/4".
4" backspacing was factory on the 8" wheel that was used on the 1/2 ton trucks but there is probably a good reason they didn't have one that wide for the HD trucks... maybe not enough clearance with leafs up front. So maybe have a look to see how much clearance you have at full lock before ordering another set of wheels.. you might have to get something with a custom backspacing or drop down to a 7" wheel.

I shoulda mentioned, my Bullnose is 2wd. Coils up front, oodles of clearance.
Custom backspacing would be cool. But the only place I know that does that is in Commiefornia, I think in Stockton. Long ways from Texas, lots of shipping charges.
I was hoping this thread would shake out a Texas supplier of steel wheels. Not Chinese.

So for anybody following, Discount Tire has a wheel called Unique 42 that's a simple black steel wheel with chrome caps, for $79. I ordered 5 and the child laborers in China are probably making them right now.
That dose not look like a 80 to 86 truck to me so why is it in that truck year area in a post about 16" wheels that came from the factory on the OP truck

Is there anywhere I can post about my ole international s1600 that I’m making into a grocery getter!? It’s basically a square body 6.9idi
Well I am guessing it is a project so cant see why you could not post here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum209/
