This picture show my truck with the old body side molding. I have now replaced it with new molding. However, notice the molding on the bed does not align with the short piece on the cab, nor does that piece align with the door.
How do I get the body panels to align?
Would I use shims?
Where the door molding does not align with the short piece on the cab, is that because of a sagging door hinge? The door seems to close and latch properly.

Reason: Forgot picture :-(
You will need to shim your body mounts unless there happens to be spacers under the bed (not likely). I would assume the body mounts are old and have compressed more or have been replaced and are shorter than original mounts.
Others may know what mounts to buy if you want to replace them.
You door looks pretty far out of alignment. Looks like it is down at the rear and out at the bottom.
If the hinges are not worn out you will need to adjust them. It is hard to explain how to adjust the door. Just remember to go slow and Mark bolt positions so you can go back to the spot you started. Also. You CAN adjust the door so it will hit the cab in a bad way. So make many small adjustments until you get the hang of it.
If I remember right the hing to cab bolts adust the in and out of door and the hinge to door bolts adjust the forward and backwards.
I also suggest having a second set of hands. It will make it much easier.
Sorry if I went over info you already new. Good luck!

No, you definitely gave me info I did not know!
Thank You!
the frame is bent take it all apart and put it on a jig jk nice looking truck but i am with gary im taking all the molding off
Sure why not! :-)
I considered taking off the trim, but I was told that by the time I had all the holes filled and the bodywork and paint done, it was way less expensive to buy new trim.
