Could use a little input here, fellas.
I'm slowly bringing my 95 f250 xl back to life. I'm nearly there, but I'm having a bit of trouble with the final alignment of the driver's side door. The previous owner replaced it after hitting something and the body mounts were rotted away, so it hasn't lined up since I've had it. I've put in new body mounts and did the pins and bushings in the hinges. I just wanted to know if you guys had your own methods of doing it. I understand that the 4 bolts to the door adjust inward/out and the 3 bolts to the cab adjust fore and aft. I havent come across any threads that give any more info than that.
But am I loosening all bolts at once or top then bottom, etc?
My biggest issue is the door sticks out .5" or so. The front of the door seems to stick out while the back is too far in. I apologize, I don't have any pictures at the moment.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Set your striker first, ensure you have the plastic sleeve on the striker, then align the door against the B pillar, A pillar and rocker via hinges, then adjust the front fender to the door.
