It does look pretty dark. Measuring cup was drained out of the rear tank. Bottle is from the pump. Not sure how much of it could be residual from before I did the injectors. Even when I first pulled the original injectors to do cups the o rings looked fine. I replaced them anyway. Ran them for a while with little to no improvement. Pulled them and inspected them again when I put the new injectors in and they looked good still. Obviously the new injectors had new o rings so I don’t know how that could cause a gallon loss in 400 miles.
Could it be that the Alliant Ford o rings I’m getting are like NOS and dried up from the start, or something more out of the ordinary with one of the heads?
I believe you have done numerous injector swaps with the same problem.
I vote for the Cody test to at least isolate which side and injector is causing this problem.
You sure have a difficult problem on your hands.

I was able to do the pressure test a couple weekends ago. The rubber tipped air nozzle wasn’t cutting it so I found a fitting to hook the air up direct. Drivers side head passed. Had the fuel pressure spike after having it hooked up on the passenger side for a while. Couldn’t really narrow it down to which injector it was so I pulled the number 7 re-ringed it and torqued it. Hooked the air back up and it was better for a little while then the #5 injector started seeping out the top. Pulled that one to re ring it and noticed some wear in the injector bore. Reinstalled and it was still leaking so I pulled again, added an extra top ring to hold the o-ring down further in the bore and it improved but still leaks. It appears they ran it for a while with a loose injector.
I’m a little embarrassed how long it took to diagnose it but everyone here was a big help. My calipers wouldn’t reach down to where the measurements need to be taken. To do it accurately I think I would need an inside micrometer and I don’t have one. My oil usage seems to be about half of what it was for now and manageable but after coming this far I’d like to fix it right.
