Window Channels and Sweeps
I am splitting hairs here but I have to ask....Anyone know if there is any difference between the window channels (the parts needed above) between the model years of 1986 and 1987?

In LMC and other catalogs they split the listings between the two years and I know that the 1986 was the last year of the Bullnose.
So when I buy the parts do I stick with the 1986 parts or did Ford happen to throw 1987
parts in my truck?
(sigh)Ford part numbers, applications listed in post #10.
Do you see 1987 listed? No, because 1987/91 is different!

My update..
Bought my "kit" from Dennis Carpenter to do both doors (anti-rattlers and the weatherstripping). BTW, I have a 1986 XLT Lariat. Anyway, I took off the passenger door panel and noticed on my model that the inside window rattler is attached to the panel with staples. So I will have to pull them out to get the dry rotted rattler off. I took the outside window rattler off rather easily and dug out the dry rotted weather stripping around the window. Again, pretty easy to do.
I saw a couple of videos on You Tube about how others have installed the weather stripping. Most seem to simply slide into the grooves and make it seemingly an easy process to undertake. I saw one gent who took the window out - which would be the best thing to do - but I was unsure of what issues that I might encounter doing this on my own so I left it in. I started sliding the stripping down the side near the lock - or towards the rear of the truck. It seemed to go down the track without too much effort. I then inserted the stripping all the way around until I got to the front of the window (toward the pop out "smokers" window). There things got a little tough. I lowered and raised the window, tugged and pulled, but I did get the weatherstripping in and all the way down the track. The window raises and lowers perfectly. Victory!
Tonight I will install the outside window rattler and I might start working on the door side.
Since my truck has red interior the vinyl on the door panels is crazed from the sun and being old. My plan is to refinish the vinyl like others have done in the many threads that I have found on the forum. I will reinstall the panels once I have refinished them. With any luck they should look as good as the photos of the ones that that you all have shared.
This forum is great. Guys like me learn a lot here.
